Subject: Some wierd new glitch I found...

No new games, catching up with the world, and filling it with the name of SpazDragon, the dragon with a spas-12.

I was goofing around on delta Halo, and I was up to the point where you have to extend the bridge to get across to the Wraith. When I started extending the bridge, I crouched and moved forward underneath it. When a crease between the bridge links caught up to me, I was sucked through until the ground came parallel to the bridge: I was launched skyward high above the map, and after a while died due to the height damage.

Has anyone else found this glitch?

(BTW Sorry I don't have the images or video to prove it but someone should try it out. Also, sometimes the glitch won't work and you will just pop up on top of the bridge.)

I didn't really understand your description of exactly how you did it.

I can't say other people have not seen that but I've never heard of it (and yes, I believe you). We call that a pressure launch because you get squeezed between moving objects and go flying. I've seen people in the holes under the bridge on the other side with a little launch but that pressure launch sounds like you could repeat it.

There are a few pressure launches in H2 (one guy made it to the top of the MAC-gun) so pretty cool find.

The description was just a concise summary, but thanks anyway.

I was hoping you would elaborate so someone else could maybe film it. It's hard to be concise when describing movements in a video game and have people understand exactly what you did.

No big deal if you don't want to go into more detail.

Don't worry:

This is on the level Delta Halo.

So what I did was play through the level until I reached the point(or more like close to the beginning) where you press the switch to span the bridge across the chasm. This is the point around you get the Scorpion. I infiltrate the building the building on my side of the chasm and press the switch to let down the bridge before the Pelican drops off the tank. Exit the door as soon as you press the switch, except make a left turn.

Outside, you will see the bridge sliding down to bridge the gap, which looks like a great moving wall. Move towards the very base of this moving wall and crouch whilst moving forward, but don't stop. One of the gaps between each bridge link should catch you, and start pulling you in.

Wait for the magic to happen. However, sometimes the launch may not work, probably only because the first gap in the bridge is bugged. My best bet is to do this as fast as possible.

You will see past the map boundaries, and what appears to be a lake to right of the building on top of the hills. Trees will appear flat and clipped.

Even the birds are below your feet.

Awesome, now I know what you did. I might have to try that this weekend. Pretty cool.

So you were single player and were you in the middle of the bridge or off to one side or what?

Single player, and it doesn't matter which part you're on.

I just tried it but I either died or just popped through. Maybe I'll get Blackeye and see if that helps. Glitches like these can also depend on the xbox you have. Whether original or 360 each machine can glitch differently from the next.

I did manage to run over to where the bridge closes and I slipped into the hole with a crouch. No big deal but it was fun.

Yeah, the setup is too easy for others not to have found this, the game is 6 yrs old. Still and all, it was a good individual find.

I don't feel it's important enough to, like, update the wiki though.

Take a step back with me and enjoy a taste of the bittersweet that is our current generation.

I enjoy Battlefield and Call of Duty, and Gears of War.

20 years old, manager of my family's business, aspiring officer of the law.

I love anything political.

Sounds cool. I haven't touched that game is forever though.

Yes it is. I myself have done this on accident. I'm not sure if there are any old vids I can find. Most of the Halo 2 glitch vids were on megavideo and other sites.
