This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

Come on guys! What about the Keys Loop?

Or how about the Final attempt at the UNSC trying to retake the Onyx system?

The Space battle over Installation 05?

The Battle of Psi Serpentis?

All of these battles give me chills down my spine every time I read them.

You like Naval Battles too much.

I find personal encounters much better than ship-to-ship combat.

1.) "Crack In Time" - Louder Production Music
2.) "Agressive Sucks" - Moss Landing
3.) Custom Version of "Meet Oscar" - Louder Productions Music
4.) "Behind You Rise" - Distortion Music
5.) "Aurora" - Mark Petrie
6.) "Surge Down - Audio Machine

Anything with Kurt.

And when Linda sniped a Banshee pilot without dealing damage to the Banshee.
Just pure ass kicking on her part.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

When those Grunt's ambushed Chief.

  • 04.17.2011 2:41 PM PDT

When the chief said fred was second best because he didnt want the attention of coming first and the Keyes Loop

  • 04.17.2011 2:44 PM PDT

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

When Halsey stepped out of cryo all naked like.

:D

The way I figure, is that People expect Spartans to do bad ass stuff anyway right? but when a normal human strategist can tip the odds in his favor and defeat a force much larger than his own... Well those are the real heroes.

Indeed.

That's why I perfer ODST's over Spartan II's...

The end to the battle of Psi Serpentis, or the the ending of Midnight in the Heart of Midlothien, when the AI informs the Elite there is no need for a countdown whatsoever.

I love that part, just imagining the look of surprise on that elites face is priceless

Would you like the treatment?

When fred kills the brute with his bare mother -blam!- ing hands!

  • 04.17.2011 3:42 PM PDT

"Were it so easy..." -Thel Vadame.

When Chief basically beat the hell out of the Elite with the sword in the bridge of the Ascendant Justice.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Also when that one Spartan took on a Hunter. I forget which, but it was awesome. I think it was in Onyx.

I want to quote so many portions of the Halo books. The Keyes Loop would probably be a winner for me. That or pretty much the entire space battle of Reach. But I would be lying if I didn't say that the ending sequence for Halo: Reach was definitely the most amazing part of the entire Halo series.

Oh, and I also want to point out the situation where Cortana refined the Covenant plasma weaponry into a slice and dice machine. Brilliant.

Never say you're bored. Never say you're satisfied with the world. Never stop doubting or questioning things. Always wonder. Always think. But always take time to drop your guard, you don't have to be smart all the time.

Kurt- "Die?" Kurt laughed "Didn't you know?" he told the Elite "Spartens never die."

Kurt turned his gauntlet face-up and pressed the detonator

  • 04.18.2011 1:24 PM PDT

Anything that involves Keyes or Kurt is inherently awesome.

When Linda sniped the elites out of banshees in First Strike.
Hanging from a rope, holding on with one hand.

Upside down

  • 04.18.2011 5:00 PM PDT

Ripping the worms out of a hunter with your bare hands.

A fitting end, will, a fitting end...

  • 04.18.2011 5:32 PM PDT

Friends before pixels.

I guess another good one would be the Keyes Loop.

I really want to see how that would work out....

  • 04.18.2011 9:37 PM PDT

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Will.. punching a Hunter to death. You badass.

Exactly my thoughts when I read the topic. Kurt's final stand, NEVAR FORGET!! Linda's One Handed snipe of the Banshee pilot (While suspended upon a hanging cable?!!).

And if I may add another, when the ship(can't remember the name) Admiral(his name escapes me as well at the moment, but he was like a portly southerner with a big 'stache), when he kamikaze's the fricken' ship by drawing in a fleet of Covenant Ships with a video of him holding a holographic depiction of an artifact. Soooo epiccc!!

I loved all the books up to the end of Ghosts of Onyx. Just couldn't really get into the ones following for some reason. Perhaps I was more partial to Nylund's writing. The guy who wrote "The Flood" wasn't bad either. His depiction of Ya-Yap abandoning his post so he could feel some semblance of a normal life before dying was sort of endearing.

Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar.
tenn' Ambar-metta!

I agree, Will killing a Hunter with bare hands and the Keyes Loop.

Keyes is the best captain, probably as good as Admiral P.J. Cole.
