I mean, really? Oh dear, the ship is in a different spot!? It really is nothing compared to some of the other canonical errors in Reach, such as the apparent lack of SMAC guns.

The main thing I don't like about the whole level is that so many people, including a dozen or so Spartans (included those form Noble) lost their lives because some mong forgot important terms such as "Close in weapons system", "Situational awareness", "Air defense" and the very basic concept of keeping your engines running during extractions and refuelling while in a 'hot zone' so you don't get caught short like the PoA did.

It could of been so much better than the book by a long shot and stick to canon, and yet it didn't and it sucked.

Who else would have prefered a full on ground assault from the Autumn while you race to get to the LZ? Escort, air cover, Covenent ships getting shot out of the sky right above your head right before a mountain explodes as the PoA fires it's mac in order to slow covenent reinforcements.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

Due to the unanimous opinion that the POA plot in Halo:Reach was a PoS.

We don't like it becuase it;s starting to look like the UNSC had control over the war the whole time yet didn't do anything.

Book: UNSC gets forerunner crystal, cortana then uses the location written on the crystal as a jump to get away from reach. Then accidentally find halo and set the games in motion.

Game: somewhere along the line cortana made a fragment to study reach's forerunner ruins. Then with the knowledge that halo could turn the war in UNSC favor is taken to the PoA on a drydock waiting to go to halo.

So the somehow cortana and halsey thought halo to be some forerunner weapon that we could use? for soem reason i don't buy one of the smartest human beings in history atomatically assuming that an alien station in the middle of the galaxy is a weapon.

That would be a cliche

here is the huge problem for me, in the book the Autumn didn't land, actually find it hard to understand how exactly it landed due to the fact its built like a skyscraper lying on its side, about as aerodynamic as a brick and has no notable thrusters or anything to stop it simply falling from the sky, that is my problem. that is why I drew a sketch to remove the problem, Autumn landed on Reach rear first, taking off like a rocket using its main engines! that would look insane!

She never said it was a weapon. All she said was that if we got to it, it could prove to be a game changer.

Besides, Halsey never said it told them exactly where halo was. All she said is this information could change the war.

Cortana still got the location from the crystal, this time she just knew more about it being important. Probably gave her the ability to understand the forerunner systems on halo better as well.

They never mentioned the data Cortana had being for a weapon at all, merely that it was a game changer that could possibly give the UNSC the edge to win the war, which ultimately the discovery of Halo was.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

It breaks canon.
