I really wouldn't know, but from what the community says it's a no-buy but maybe you should check Here:systemrequirementslab- Can you run it? for the technical stuff.

FYI It said that my pc couldn't run halo pc/ce but I'm able to do it perfectly minus ambient lighting (I think that was the setting, oh well)

But, I would recommend Halo pc and Halo CE from personal experience.
Halo CE (Custom edition) is a free download if you get Halo PC

Edit: I checked the system requirements here, you should be able to run it easily.
(To my limited knowledge)

Neat fact: You can play it from the the disk while installing, or so I heard.

I noticed this after posting again... On that page it says partial nudity...
I believe it's referring to the arbiter in the beginning cut-scene. (I find that a little funny)

Also You can do Halo 2 for xbox online (using Xbox connect).

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Read some of the threads on the first page here and you'll get an idea of what you're in for. My opinion: NO.

  • 04.10.2011 1:34 AM PDT

thanks guys :D, erm i might buy Cod 4 instead, i manage to run the demo on high at around 60 fps so why not.

I allready have H1PC and used to have custom edition

i seriously think for the 10th aniversary Bungie should really promote it again and have teir own dedicated servers

I'm going to get it later, I wanna get the Scarab gun. (should be easier on pc)
Also there are probably more people on it than Halo 2 on XBC.

1. The partial nudity was actually a file in the map maker (file type was a .ass, ironically)

2. Halo 2 PC Online is SEPARARTE FROM Halo 2 Xbox Online, so you can still play H2PC online via Xbox Live (branded as Games for Windows Live.

Save your money and get CE instead.

"Is there a clown behind me again?"

H2V is a great game - if you're a collector get it. If you're a gamer get something that is updated like MW2/Blackops etc.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Or BC2, which has a larger population and better gameplay on the PC than both of those titles.

Halo 3

off-topic: Has anyone bought Crysis 2 and played it on the PC/xbox? If so, how is it? Played the demo i'd give it a 7/10.

Thoughts?

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

Buy it if you love Halo 2, almost as same as the xbox version. Though online is lacking a little, most servers play on the same 3 maps and it gets old real quick without variety. You will meet some good friends on Halo 2 Vista, and you will have fun playing matches and seeing the different custom maps people create.

As for Ben2974, Crysis 2 is a good game for the 360 though it can be rage inducing at times. Most people like to camp with cloak on in the corners and hosting could be better. Its fun if you play with friends. Weapons aren't as stable when firing as other first person shooters like Halo 2, etc.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

The community is full of hackers though. And the game blows.

I haven't met anybody who hacked yet, or at least hacked in a way that affected my personal gaming experience.

And dude, seriously. Every thread that's been on the PC forum and H2 Forum, you've commented saying "The game blows"

WE GET IT!!!!! Your trolling isn't going to stop anyone!

This. It's nice that you have such low standards, Ben, but in comparison to every PC FPS available (prior Halo installment included), H2V lacks quality in every area of the game. And people who are thinking about buying the game need to know that before making their purchase, and it sure as hell doesn't help when you're lying to them.

  • 04.11.2011 6:58 PM PDT

Halo 3

Ya "we" aren't. Just you. Posting "Halo 2 Blows" in every thread is not "informing". Also, i'm sure that people on the bungie forums are aware of the 100's of other games out there for them. If they post about considering a purchase of Halo 2, it means they have some sort of special "thing" for the game. So it's not like they are choosing to buy H2V over another game because they think it's better than COD or something.

Note: I tried to be sincere here, so don't go on flaming me!

If they have a special "thing" for the game, it means they're a console gamer. They generally don't know that PC games in general have significantly higher standards than what H2 delivers. In short, they don't know that the game is absolutely terrible compared to other games they could be playing. And if they're going to shell out $20 for a game that fails in every aspect when compared to games that cost less (or nothing at all), they should know it first.

And like I said before, going around saying that the game has a decent population, works/runs perfectly, and has skill-based gameplay, ect doesn't help. 'Cause then guys like me have to come into the thread and set the record straight, letting them know that you're lying for the sole purpose of defending a game that nobody who's looking for a well-made, good game with solid gameplay would touch with a 10-foot pole.

You completely missed the point(you didn't quote my whole comment, that last sentence is important in order to make sense of what I said)

Ok then. If you want me to find reasons it blows I can.

Poor optimization, huge hitboxes, CONTROLLER AUTOAIM, GFWL, broken voice chat, and poor community.

General instability, compatibility issues with any OS other than Vista, gimped mouse/keyboard controls, psuedo-skill gameplay, complete lack of any sort of anti-cheat system, button glitches still in the game, terrible game browser, no rcon or in-game server admin tools.

Need I continue? Just this list alone is extensive; No other FPS game on the PC has as many problems as H2V.

Halo 3

ok fine you guys can list all the things that you don't like about the game, but that's not the point!
