Hello everyone, this will be a long post, but there IS a TL;DR version of this, don't worry.

Now, we all know about the legendary Halo series, and I want to throw in a suggestion or two about how the next Halo game should be like.

But first off, I'd like to tell you that I did once believe that Halo was overdone and didn't need any more additions to the series, but I've changed my mind about that now that I've thought about it for a while.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about the next Halo game.

I have many suggestions for 2 seperate Halo games, one that revolves around the Sanghellis and one that revolves around Master Chief. I'll start with the first one.

The name of it would be something like Halo: Arbiter's Revenge, and it would revolve around the story of how Arbiter returns to his home planet and finds that the brutes have invaded it because of the grudge that the brutes have against the Elites, and so a massive war is imminent for the Elites.

The main character also doesn't need to be Arbiter, it could be Rtas 'Vadum, the shipmaster from Halo 3, or someone entirely different.

The flood may or may not be involved in this story, but I doubt that they should be implimented as certain events won't be able to be achieved, so think of it as Halo: Reach, except you're on the Covenant's side this time.

New characters should be introduced, obviously, and enemies won't just be Brutes, they will be grunts terrifed into fighting for the brutes, jackals, hunters, etc...

The story will be set on Sanghelios, but it could move to another planet (the brute homeworld, Jiralhanae, for instance), but just as long as its interesting, that's perfectly fine.

The atmosphere of the game should be mystical, and force you to want to look around a lot, admiring the scenery with appropriate music to match (made by Martin O'Donnell, of course), and many levels should involve beautiful scenery, and of course, good places to find cover.

The A.I of the enemies should be fun to fight against, just as they were in Halo 3 (my opinion), and enemies should be true soldiers aswell (taking cover often, not being a damage sponge, being realistic, being both hard and easy to kill, etc...).

The multiplayer should follow along with the other 4 games, and spartans and elites could be playable, and maybe, for the first time ever, you could play as a brute. (They're roughly about the same size as elites and spartans, so I don't see why they couldn't be implimented.)

The music should be placed at correct points, of course, and it should match the atmosphere of the game perfectly, as it has done for every Halo game ever made.

The voice actors for Arbiter and Rtas 'Vadum should remain and not change like the Prophet of Truth did between Halo 2 and Halo 3, and the voices for the rest of the enemies/allies should be recognisable too (it doesn't have to be the same voice actors though).

Combat should be improved upon aswell. It shouldn't only be shooting guns and throwing grenades, it should also involve a feature in which you can leap on your enemy (Assassin's Creed style) and beat them down quickly, most likely killing them (just an idea).

Vehicles should also be put in quite a lot of levels (but not too many though), and upgrades to vehicles is always welcome. (The ability to change the form of your vehicle, for instance.)

Powerups like overshield should also be implimented tacticly, but as with vehicles, not too much of them should be used in every level. (Only once in a while when they're logically needed should powerups like overshield be put in place somewhere.)

Changes, both big and small, could and should occur with the devolpment of the game (a cover system like Gears of War's, for instance, except for 1st person), and excellent weaponry is a must. Both old (plasma rifle, beam rifle, plasma grenade, etc...) and new weapons should be brought into the game, and even some upgraded old weapons (Three-shot alien carbine, anyone?).

Here's my persuasive point:

Picture this: Arbiter with a plasma rifle in hand by Rtas 'Vadum... the area around them is a forest, but they're overlooking a destroyed Sanghellis city... the Arbiter stares at the city as though he had watched it die, then Rtas 'Vadum looks at Arbiter and says "The brutes must want for war.", to which Arbiter replies "If the brutes want war... then we shall make war."

Wouldn't it be extremely fun and interesting to play this type of a game? I know that I would certainly buy it, so tell me what you think.

Here's the next game idea:

The story is about Master Chief, and if you've seen the scene at the end of Halo 3 when you complete it on legendary difficulty, you'd know that Master Chief's story hasn't finished yet.

Here's my take on what could happen, but it seems likely that a game like this will be made, so something different could happen.

Once the chief crashes down to the unknown planet, he wakes up and has to embark on a new journey in an unknown world, but he soon encounters the flood, and then has to fight them whilst following orders from either Cortana or one of the sentinal's leaders.

I'm afraid that I don't have any takes on what the actual storyline would be, but if it truly will be final Halo game EVER made, it will have to have a superb story that compliments the other Halo games.

New weapons, vehicles, powerups, characters, enemies, etc... should be implimented, but I'd say that the only two main enemies that should be found in the game are many different and unknown types of flood and sentinals. Covenant could be introduced to the game, but it's doubtful though.

Also, the voice actors for Cortana and Master Chief should not, repeat, should not change; new voices can (and should) be added to new characters though.

The music should be appropriate (scary when fighting flood, techno when helping/fighting sentinals), and the environments should make you want to explore every corner of them, but also take cover into consideration, and plenty of ammunition everywhere.

Multiplayer wouldn't have playable flood in it though, it wouldn't seem possible to do it, but you never know...

Everything that was improved in the last suggestion should be improved upon again and implimented, and 343i (along with the help of Bungie) should do their best to make the final halo game the best as it could possibly be.

Here's my persuasive point:

Picture this: The Master Chief wakes up and gets out of the wreckage of the ship that he was in, and then sees a desolate warzone all around him, and then sees some flood fighting against some sentinals, and once that had settled in, Cortana says "We shouldn't be here...", and then Master Chief gets out his assault rifle and the game begins.

It would seem fitting to have this game put in place, wouldn't it? It would be the SEVENTH installment in the Halo series, and it would be the perfect finishing touch to the series.

TL;DR:

Halo: Arbiter's Revenge

Story: Awesome
Weapons/vehicles: Awesome
Combat: Awesome
Characters: Awesome
Game: Awesomely Awesome

Halo 7

Story: Awesome
Weapons/Vehicles: Awesome
Combat: Awesome
Characters: Awesome
Game: Awesomely Awesome to the highest power of awesomeness

So, tell me what you think of my two ideas, and be sure to share your own ideas or make suggestions, but please keep it clean and no flaming each other.

I would rather go with events before the Trilogy rather than after.

Life is too short to not be creative...

I'm not sure where I saw this, but someone somewhere determined that the planet that the chief landed on had markings(could be cities/structures) that identified it as something related to the forerunner. That would make sense since the chief's half of the ship was teleported due to the ark's premature blast.
I think that instead of the story revolving around the elites and brutes, I think you should have the ability to be a forerunner or at least integrate them in some way into the storyline. That would add interest to the new game and open up new oportunities for EVEN MORE halo games.
Just a thought...

a story about the spartan iii gamma company trained by lc kurt ambrose. they'll fight the covenant on high risk (considered suicidal) missions behind enemy lines.

Head Down/ Chin Up!

I've made a few posts about this before here. My idea would be to do a "Arbiter Chronicles" or summit less cheesy sounding!

Basically you would play as a different Arbiter through the ages, taking in events that we have all heard about like the "Taming of The Hunters" and the "Grunt Rebellion"

It would give us an opportunity to see the Covenant as it grew, witness these "historic" Halo events, and visit various homeworlds of the Covenant species!
