Subject: Where is new armor?

I'm Gourlay, I'm only here because I didn't know we had the option to leave.

I thought that when Bungie released the new map pack recently they would give more armor to the people to buy. But so far I have seen nothing new. WTF!?!?

Wrong forum.

They made an announcement that there was no new armor shortly before the map pack came out. But they didn't comment on those pictures from Waypoint which certainly made it look like there is a new helmet.

I thought

Problem numero uno.

EDIT: On topic though, Bungie never said they were adding new armor with the maps.

Whens there's no one to turn to, just aim ahead

Bungie has never mentioned releasing new armor. Only other misleading members of this community.

And how the hell is this the wrong forum? This is about Reach. Are you saying this would be better for flood?

It's better suited for Reach.

Dude, this goes on the Reach forum. Why? Because it pertains to GAMEPLAY. Not STORYLINE.

Read Duardo's topic up top.

And the variants we can't use (e.g. the Operator variant on the Noble map pack playlist picture).

That was not official. It was announced that there was no new armor. Also, just an addition; You have to recreate every map in the game to add new armor. Don't look forward to it in the future.

What?! No you don't. It seems you have no idea what you are talking about. A map does not care about the armor permutations on it. The game engine itself does, but not the map.

The game engine takes the pieces of the game and combines them. It tells the screen display this map, this character wearing this armor permutation, this vehicle, etc. If the engine doesn't have the map, then the user can't play in that round. If he doesn't have that armor permutation it can be substituted for one he does have (a default one) with no impact to game play.

The map does not interact with the armor permutations at all. The characters yes but what that character looks like is irrelevant.

Wrong! WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!

All maps have to contain everything used in that map, including but not limited to all armour variants that can be used on that map.
Unless it's on the disk and hidden very well, there will be no new armour.
