There have been posts like this before and I'll tell you what all of the Underground thought in one post. NO, and that's putting it lightly

I would have to agree though I'd give you the pleasure of a pleasant answer. Halo is all about the vehicles and there's nothing a mech can do that a vehicle can't so why bother?

Oh, and before we go into mecha fisticuffs *grins* Running over your opponent is much more deadly and satisfying :)

Why? Vehicles are far superior to 'mechs. They're less complex (making them easier to repair), the have a smaller stature (making them harder to hit) and they are inherently more stable (due to the low center of gravity).

Mechs are the one cliche in most Sci-Fi's that will never possibly happen. Vehicles of the future will get smaller and less complex, not the other way around.

Maybe they should make a mission in Campaign where it's likes MGS and u have 2 take pictures of this mechanical force that the covanant are to use 2 destroy earth, and the only way the MC can get out of there is to use the mechanical force to save earth and also save yourself.

It doesn't matter. Getting something human sized to walk is complicated enough. It takes thousands of calculations every milli-second or so to keep something like that balanced. That Honda robot took almost ten years to make and it still isn't that stable. A vehicle chassis is just better for balance. Period. It requires no computer for calculations, no gyros, and no actuators. All a vehicle needs is some tires.

Plus, why would you make yourself a bigger target? A 'mech is taller than a vehicle.
