I've created a group which, for now,is fairly active.Founded on Jan.8 06,its pretty new. It's my first group and 82 member's joined, and more are coming in.Most of them don't have Live,me neither, and I know it's almost a given to be part of that community.By next month, hopefully I'll be enjoying-?-the Live experience with the many here in Bungie, and the member's of my group. The theme I selected for the group is for fan's of SciFi,horror, fantasy, novel's,game's in general, current world happening's,the wierd and the unexplained. We cover a lot of ground in those genre's.We also have a Weekly Debate,in which the member's select the topic to be posted.I realize we're new,and that it will also fall prey to inactivity. What should I do to keep them interested? I could use some pointer's and tip's on this subject.Thanx.

i used to be head of a clan with nearly 50 people, but for some reason it was difficult to organize anything, then someone was an a$$ and i had to make him overlord, then he mad someone ovelrord, who in turn did the same to another, and then i ended up with what seemed like a communist party, i was infuriated and left, now i have a clan with a mere 6 people but we play everynight and it is in the end quite active, but it seems that the bigger your clan gets the less it seems to work

MSXL: The Last Honest Chapter

The whole topic of who to choose as your staff is quite a rampant one on here. I think that may be the Chapter Founders article I write. I'll get a post up soon for stories about that so I can have some points of reference.

I look at it this way...if they are your friends that you hang out with in real life *no over the net crap* then I would be okay with giving them staff pwrz. But if not, peons only.

Some of my groups are. You need to pick your mods right. Beleive it or not, I've contributed more into a group that I'm an admin, but not the founder of. One has around 47 members...now I know it's not the 500 that some of you moderator's groups have, but this once was recently made.

A nice thing is having a small enough comunity, to know eachother, but large enough to have a living group.

Ok im not a founder but I have somthing to say; Ok I have been on here for a long time (this is my second name) and I am a loyal member of all groups that I am in. But for the past mounth I have been seeing people not post whouse to be very active, when asking them why they said Halo 2 topics where just losing the excitment. Also whenever somthing comes up the subject dosent last to long. But my guess is that when somthing big dose come up, like the moderators and members said before me that all the forums will be more active. As long as that subject dosent loss its excitment and touch.

Sorry I not a founder I just want to say that, thanks for hearing me out! :)

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

Whoah, smiley on the public forums. My chapter sort of took off to begin with but soon died down. I think i had 10 members maximum but we were active for a while. I am active mostly in msxl, sunday and the kuniklo project. I know when smiley appointed me mod and gave me some abilities i had news and a few contests on the forums regularly but now everyones gone there way and nothing much happens there. Hopefully though soon we will see some new features to mess with.

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

I have 43 members and about ten of them post constantly.
The others post about once a week.

So does that mean that YOU should be a peon again Zee?
