I am going to get Halo for the P.C tomorrow and the Pad I have got is not good. I compared it with a Xbox Pad and there was not enough joysticks on it. Only one, so can anyone give me some ideas.

(Note: I live in the U.K so no, only in the U.S stuff.)

Don't waste your money on a controller to play Halo PC. It will never have the same feel as Halo Xbox (TRUST ME I've tried it) because there's no aim assist in the PC version to help you target enemies. Get used to aiming without the training wheels by switching to a mouse and keyboard. You'll never have to worry about enemies running across your screen and pulling your crosshair off your INTENDED target. Revel in the fact that you have 100% control of where you're aiming thanks to the freedom offered by the precision controls of the mouse.

I use a 360 controller. At Best Buy you can pick one up. it comes in a red case and says "360 controller for Windows XP"

It's pretty cool. However, I haven't gotten very used to it yet, so I only play with it when I'm doing campaign.

Listen to Fatso. You could get used to a controller, but will be better off with keyboard and mouse.

I'd only suggest getting a gamepad if you're more used to console gaming than PC gaming. That was my case, at least...I've been using a Gemini Recoil pad since it's very similar to a PS2 controller (which is what I'm used to for a FPS).

O.K, I have bought a 360 Pad and it works very well.

I have the 360 one, but mouse and keyboard is better for me.

Yeppers. One of the first things you'll notice with Halo PC and a pad is invariable walking speed. You can move fast or slow with XBox games by pressing the analog joystick a little or a lot. That effect isn't supported by Halo PC. I used a Hammerhead FX pad and it was alright for most games, but Halo didn't benefit any from it. Try getting used to the mouse+keyboard combo. You may learn to love it.

I know what you mean. :(

I wish I could make Halo Xbox have an invariable speed. That way when I play Halo Xbox again I could actually PLAY Halo Xbox.
