Does anyone else beleive that overtime, Halo can become too easy, and that there should be some way to change that? Like no shields options(imagin that in the library) or something like that?

How about a hardcore option where the game literally ends when you die and you are unable to continue? *grins* It'd really mean something to have a legendary character having finished the last level :)

Wow that would be impossable. Literally, i dont think its possable to compleat the library in legendary with no shields. If it is, it would literly take DAYS of constant "takeing it slow".

But you would never make it past T&R right after u get in the covie ship. Never.

I would take T&R with just health. It'd take a few weeks though.

I agree that Halo gets too easy, but, hey, I've played it maybe 5-10 hours a week for a few years now. If it doesn't get easy now, it never will. You can always play 'hardcore' (I know somebody else on this forum must play D2 now) on your own accord by starting from the PoA and playing until you die, or you could take it a step further by not stopping and taking cover to let your shields recharge.

I've got a feeling we're going to think Halo2 will be a bit too easy. After all, 80+% of Halo2 players will be alien slaughtering Legendary/LAN hardened shocktroops. I think Bungie just won't be able to make enemies that would be challenging unless they were ridiculously strong (ie a yellow grunt can soak up a full clip from dual SMGs) and that would annoy gamers because of the lack of realism.

It took me a good 6 months to work up the courage to beat the final level on Legendary. (The Library, can you blame me?) After that, it was such a thrill that I never play Halo on any other difficulty. oh sure, there's the occasional jaunt through on Heroic if I feel like not having to constantly take cover, and the once in a while run on Normal if I feel like mercilessly slaughtering my Covenant foes by only meleeing. And once every blue moon, I'll play it on Easy, just to remind myself of how crappy I was considering I used to die on it.
I was crap at Halo until I beat it on Legendary, then the hours of play and challenge of game went up, and so did my skill.

I think the only thing that makes games really easy is the fact that we all know wherevery guy is. We know exactly where to be and what weapons to use on every level. I know from hardcore gaming experience that, knowing whats going to happen is the ultimate weapon. I know that I have a system for every level. Last time I played Library, on Heroic, I didn't even die. Come to think of it, when I beat Library on legendary I was alone and I didn't die.
If in, Halo 2, covies are moved around alot more and groups of covies change alittle everytime you play, it will be much more challenging.

Well there will be alot more vehicle combat in HAL0 2 with still plenty of infantry
action both indoors and out doors and against other vehicles and aircraft.
There will also be some new enemies that bungie is not telling us about that we
wont see untill 2/3 of the way through like the FL00D in HAL0. There will be them
sentintals and other new enemies on all three sides. but yes after awhile it will
get a little pridictable. Time to call out the LAN PARTY.

I have been playing halo almost non-stop since November 15th 2001. Playing with 16 seasoned veterens like me, on Blood Gulch, it doesnt get easy, it gets harder

Legendary wasn't so difficult for myself and my friend when we were going through it. We immediately recognized the lethality after we were creamed in the Cafeteria and revised our strategies. After that we made good use of cover, nad made sorties into new areas just in case there would be an ambush.

The only truly difficult level for us was the Library... damn there's just no cover anywhere that doesn't leave you trapped in a corner and those Battlers* have an uncanny ability to use that Assault Rifle, even at extreme range it's like he never missed even on full automatic!

*We called them Boomers, Battlers and Buggers

Legendary is bound to be easy on two player, through constant respawning a novice could eventually whittle down the enemy. its still hard when you go it alone now and yes, i do feel that nearly everyone who plays halo2 will have played the first one and find it easy after getting ajusted to its amazingness but theres no point worrying it'll be fun to play through anyway because its halo 2. on top of that legendary can still catch you offguard now and then.

On Waypoint I'm rocketFox;

Old GTs; RebelRobot, Flamedude

i've been at it for ages. halo really is that good, the only other games i've been as obsessed with were goldeneye and skies of arcadia.

if options were allowed into the game to make it trickier.. i think a good one would be no health kits. you got your recharging shields but your health, well you better look after it.

I think T&R would be easy to beat with no shields on legendary, i rarely even loose them even when you first enter the ship and i keep all my marines allive at the same time. I have owned halo for about six months now and can beat the game on legendary easily in about four hours. I think the library would be really hard with shields because of the part where you are closed in a smal area and there are hundreds of flood. Plus the little sack thingy's would rock you because one atomatically takes off a bar of life.
