i don't understand why they don't just say the title of the next project. 99% of us assume it's halo3, so why not just come out and say it, instead of acting like the information is some secret ballot. It's one thing to say that the project is halo3 and not give anymore details, but it's quite another to say something like, "we can't let anyone listen to audio samples because that would just give everything away..."
and i thought achronos was in charge of b.net... is this your way of telling us he's fired?
Thats just not bungie's style. This is exactly what happened before halo 2 also. And every single time they have something big. Bungie hints at it forever and waits till we are all drooling to tell us. Get used to it.
so all this slow leaking is bungie's style? I don't think so. Actually, what happened with halo2 is that before its release, bungie said a million and one things about the game, and less than half of what they said actually made it to the game (read: ATV, running, peeking, single burst BR, better needler, etc.) So it's understandable if bungie doesn't want to embarass themselves again like that. But now they've taken it to the other extreme by not saying a damn thing, which doesn't make things any better.
they don't have to give us a status report, and they don't have to tell us all the cool new things they're trying to put into the game. But saying something like it's the pulp fiction suitcase, well... that does absolutely nothing. How bout a title first... then we can go into "how pretty" the game is.
