I wish everyone who came to this channel made a thread about getting halo 2 back.

Maybe than Microsoft would listen and Bungie would pull harder or start pulling for H2 to come back.

Microsoft never understood what they did to the halo franchise (or the Bungie brand) when they pulled halo 2 online.

I ran this through google translate and I got this:

I wish everyone who came to this channel made a this forum into a whinefest.

I never knew somebody needed Google Translate to translate English into English!

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I also never knew some people's sarcasm detectors are broken.

Anyone who played Halo2 to the fullest when it was at its most popular would agree that it is probably the best multi-player game released on consoles. I have played all the other big games such as halo3, reach, mwf 1&2 etc like mad, but all of them are missing something halo 2 had. I doubt, with the way the game industry is catering mainly on casual gamers, that a better, balanced and more fun multi-player game will be made. My only hope is that they see that fair and fun gameplay is more important than graphics or pretty over powered weapons.

I think since you cant play the actual Halo 2 online anymore...they should re-release it as an arcade game with online capability...

Id love top lay H2 again online.

You deserve to have ice cream smashed in and around your eye area!!!

GT: Marlon Brenndo

I haven't been on the Forums in like...3 years.
But all of a sudden i'm feeling nostalgic tonight thinking about the only shooter i've fully enjoyed and never had that moment where the 'beer goggles' wear off.
I've played all the CODs,Battlefields,Gears,CSs, or whatever else that you can think of but nothing can simulate the simplicity(grain of salt) or just basic fun that Halo 2 gave me. The community for the most part was amazing, the UI was incredible, and it was by far the best gameplay i've ever had the pleasure of interacting with.
There wasn't any ridiculous equipment, the only real mixups you had with guns was the dual wielding, while simple, added many dimensions to the balancing. Nobody needs killstreaks or shiny bells and whistles if you make the gameplay like they did Halo 2. I for one would buy Halo 2 if it came back on the Dashboard or if they did some sort of HD Remix type of thing, no matter the price.
Sincerely,
Brennan aka Nen44

Halo 1 is on as a game on demand on XBL.

I don't think Microsoft would make that move beause the fact is, it's history as we know it and on top of that it'd have to RE-define multiplayer yet again. With all the outdated (But sheer awesome) game play it holds, it is no match for titles such as CoD, GoW, Reach, and any other game that is collecting dust on the Play Station Network.

Yeah, CE is in the marketplace but there's no Live for it. It would do no good to put H2 on the marketplace without Live, we all have CMP so that would be lame without MP.

Sadly, there will probably never be Live H2 again for the console. But hope is eternal.

Eh, they did it with Call of Duty Classic, so, why not Halo 2? Only makes sense. A good bit of people would buy it out of release hype. It wouldn't cost much money to put up. Therefore, they'd make instant money off of it. It wouldn't matter if it would have a low population or not in the 4 months afterwards.

(By the way, when I say release hype, I mean people going to old h2 players saying it's back on and new Halo players who want to experience what their friends say is the best Halo)

I truly hope you are right. Here's a good article with Frank O'Connor. It's just about the Halo franchise in general.

Reading stuff like that makes me feel as though Halo is in good hands. Definitely with Frankie leading things. I'm especially looking forward to all the pre-hype Frankie is putting in for these "surprises" we're going to have going on for Halo's ten year anniversary. Some big, some small, who really knows what that can mean? All I know is that I'm really excited with this coming year.

I think if there were to be anyone to put Halo 2 back on Live that could have authority on all things Halo, it would be Frankie. Unless he's embarrassed about that picture of him on Containment. ;)

I'm gonna finish it. Just like Jigga did to the pyramid.

they either need to
1. remake halo 2 (just multiplayer + all online stuffs) , with better graphics, same maps, same weapons , same everything except for the graphics

2. put Halo 2 back up on live

halo 2 arcade wouldnt be so good (in my opinion)

Yeah, I sure don't know for certain but Frankie is what I heard first so I just went along with that. Somebody at Bungie must know for sure.
