So it's been a year and Bungie has done nothing to recognise this. Maybe in the update. Hopefuly.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

They stopped caring when the Reach Beta came out, and they started doing BS quit bans.

They will probably mention something in the Weekly Update.

I think H2 wound up being Bungie's Albatross and they were happy to sell off to MS. Even though hardly anyone played H2 Live at the end, the other games were constantly being compared to what H2 used to be. Bungie maybe realized they would never enjoy the success they had with H2 in any Halo they could produce in the future so into the circular file it went.

All it took was a stew of whoopass.

They probably got something. But a more important question, where's the love for GNOP?

*whispers in your ear* I've got a plan to break into a certain building... maybe... tip a certain jar over? That jar might have a decapitated dog head? Meet me in the ally at 1am CST....

Halo 2 for Life!

Bungie could do alot more than they are currently doing. Maybe they are behind the scenes or something and I hope this is so. It could only help their image, their brand if halo 2 was back online again.

I don't think they have any power what so ever over anything Halo at the moment. Well, besides the upkeep of Halo: Reach. Up to 343 now. I'm getting a stronger connection to the community from 343 right now which is good. That's probably because they have so few people on the site right now, but, I hope it continues. They might do something for Halo 2, who knows?

Halo 2 for Life!

What is power?

I'm not trying to stir up your way of thinking. Halo is Bungie... at least that is the branding, Microsoft branding it as 343 will never completely remove Bungie from the Halo franchise.

Bungie will have a say like no other always (on it's old games) and Microsoft would be foolish not to consult Bungie (about it's old games) and Bungie would be foolish not to tell them what they think (as their brand will always be tied to those old Halo games in some way).

I know that they can have a say in things, but, Halo isn't really their brand anymore. They have no legal rights to really do anything with Halo. The most impact Bungie could have on any Halo related content would be a suggestion towards 343 Industries. What I'm trying to say is that if you're asking for someone to do something with Halo, it has to be 343 now.

Halo 2 for Life!

One must start where it matters first. 343 and all those forums are weak (few members, few halo 2 fans), and asking them directly usually doesn't work with large coperations.

If we talk about it here (were good discussion of halo 2 can happen), hopefully 343 will take notice or Bungie will take notice and tell 343. They could say look, both are brands would benfit by having H2 online again.

If it could make a difference it would have by now. Also, 343 is much more active in looking at what's posted on their forum than Bungie is simply because there are less members (Less members=Less to look at). It's not like bringing Halo 2 back online is a new idea. It's the most posted thing on this forum. 1 post/thread in a sea of millions isn't going to change a thing. I can assure you that both 343 Industries and Bungie know that Halo 2 fans desperately want it back. If they have any possible way they could do that for you in an efficient way, they'll do it. (If they feel it's necessary)

Halo 2 for Life!

Think wider. We can go at this issue many different ways. Don't set things in stone as being already determined.

If this forum is ever taken down I will consider going to the 343 forum to talk their about brining back halo 2 but I will not shut my mind down to other options either.

Halo 2 will come back with or without me or you.

What will make it come back faster or slower is all politics and being patient and expressing we want it back is all we can do right now (I think this is the right place to do this at the moment).

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

They kicked us old guys to the curb to cater to the new guys. They not recognizing this day shows us how much they care.

Because honestly, only 10 people still care about it. Most of the people who still play H2 are people who picked up used Xboxes from the used game store or eBay.

How do you think the Combat Evolved people feel about never having online?(Except the PC version, of course which has terrible netcode -_-') Everything has to end eventually. You just have to remember the good times and love that you had them while you did. Halo 2 was an amazing game for many reasons, but, it just couldn't live online through Xbox Live forever. Hopefully one day they will be able to bring it back, but, until then you have to play XBC/Xlink Kai/Vista.

Halo 2 for Life!

Did you ever stay up all night playing halo2; wouldn't leave your room to go eat because you were playing with your friends.

Halo 2 was a rare game, so much fun to its very last day for me.

For a game like halo 2, that made XBL (2 million new users playing H2 year on year the first two years), the Xbox (8 million vs. 5 million for CE), Bungie (CE = good story but H2 had it all) to be removed by Microsoft in the way it was, is best described as bull to the largest degree possible for me and Bungie getting free invites to reach beta and 400 Microsoft points (which I refuse to use, not actually sure how many points it was because I didn't care about that errrr) is no consolation what so ever.

For reference:

H3 sales = 8.1million didn't grow the Halo series even with an outstanding base of halo 2 and halo CE, shows how bad it was.
Hodst = 3 million
Hreach =3.3million (north America).

CE and H2 fans should work together to get back Halo 2 online and a remake for CE. Why challenge Halo 2's place as the top video game of all time lol, yeah know you'll always lose in this forum anyways.

Also if you include halo 2 vista and map packs halo2 rules all other halo's in sales.
