I'm not challenging anything and for your information yes I did. Countless nights playing both Combat Evolved and 2 at LAN parties throughout the night. My parents being so mad at me because they told me to go to sleep, but I'd always end up sleeping through the rest of the next day. I've been there.
You don't have to point out statistics at all to me, they have absolutely nothing to do with what I was saying. I'm just saying that there is a time for everything to pass. That hopefully one day it will be born again. That you should be grateful to Bungie/Microsoft for the time you had instead of claiming that they're -blam!-s for taking it away.
I'm not going to compare each of the Halo games to each other. (Though I don't like each of them equally) They all had traits in which make them special that put a special place in my heart for them. One of the main things that makes Halo 2 special for me is the glitches. (Please don't read into that as a negative statement. Glitches on Halo 2 made that game 10x as fun)
I'm not working against you at all. I agree with you that both of these games should be reborn. I believe both Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 deserve online multiplayer again. The only reason I think Combat Evolved needs it more is because it was never granted its chance on Xbox LIVE. Halo 2 should for many reasons if not just because of how long it stayed top. How much passion is driven into it by the people who still hold it dear. The emotion felt towards this game is obvious though many people might think it's a small number of people, it definitely makes up for it in passion/dedication.
(P.S. One thing that absolutely infuriates me is the fact that Call of Duty Classic has online multiplayer when Halo 2 doesn't.)
