PROS:
-It's a Halo campaign you haven't played if you haven't played it

CONS:
-Poor graphics optimization
-Unstable/lots o' bugs
-Terrible game browser
-Limited amount of times you can install the game before you can't use that CD key anymore
-No anti-cheat in multiplayer
-Zero support from Bungie/Microsoft and hasn't seen an update for years
-Games for Windows Live keeps breaking stuff in the game
-Mouse/keyboard controls are gimped
-Compatibility issues for any OS other than Windows Vista
-Button glitches are still in the game
-No dedicated server admin tools in-game

And that's just off the top of my head.

EDIT: Forgot an important one. The population peaks at 50. Usually, you'll see fewer people online than that.
Most if not all of these are true, but I think some button glitches are removed when you update Halo 2 Vista.

Anyways, I forgot to list the pros.

Pros:

-easy campaign level access

Just backup the maps and then rename the later levels you want to play on to one of the first three. That resolves the CD key campaign limit problem and saves time.

-Paulus dev trainer

Perfect for testing out levels on Mythic difficulty.

-easy to use modding programs

Want the Scarab gun? Do a projectile swap.

Want invincible characters? Just go to hlmt and look for cannot die from damage.

Want Elite Majors and Minors to take out swords? Look for Elite in hlmt and swap the Unknown[0] weap that has 428 or 500 with the Energy sword and edit the plasma grenade damage. You can do the same with Jackal snipers (i.e. make them take out carbines), but you don't have to stick them.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

You mean for Halo PC, right?

Halo 3

This is to Sliding Ghost:

Devtrainer by Paulus. Is this the one that will automatically load his facebook page once you start it? lol

If it is, how did you get yours to work. It would say that devtrainer has loadded successfully, but then Halo2 never actually starts up.

Can you tell me what you did in order to get that trainer working? I'd really appreciate it!

Yes, the pop up is annoying. I used the one by Paulus because I couldn't get Blu Trainer to work (also, blu trainer is even worse with it's IE pop ups). Also because I couldn't get Casca working. If I could, I would have used it.

Anyways, here's how to make it work. This same method can probably be used with the aforementioned dev trainers, but I dislike Halo 2 Vista atm so I'm not going to reinstall Halo 2 Vista.

Don't try the modding tools, once you do, you will uninstall h2v and move back to CE.

I already left Halo 2 Vista, but it was because my shots to the head (Grunts, Elites, Marines) were rarely one shot kills. Because of this, I couldn't continue my Mythic difficulty tests.
