I know there was an old halo mmo plan but microsoft scrapped it. However, i would like to consider a different path for it. Different from all other attempts at this. I was thinking that this game would completely fail if you tried to do a third person point a click style. I suggest keeping the FPS style that the games already have.

The game would focus around the concept that the elite/spartan conflict hadnt ended yet. It would be a live PVP style where you would choose from the Convenent or UNSC at the beginning. On the UNSC side you would start as a marine. I think the marines have regenerating health and armor no shields. To counter the headshots you would have improved headshot protection. You become a ODST eventually after passing and ODST test. You would gain more weapons, shields but lose regenerating health. You rank again to become a Spartan. This give you load outs, but only sprint, and drop shield to start, as you get better you gain the rest.

The Covenant would choose between brutes or elites. The Brutes are stronger and harder to kill, no health regeneration and ungrade slowely to brute lord. The elites are just as strong as spartans but can regenerate health. They would become the top Elites, whatever they are called i forget. They have the same load out scheme as spartans, except they start with evade instead of sprint.

When it comes to the maps i was thinking that it would be several planets that you would join and fight on. They would have one large map, like big team battle. However there are no weapons set on the map to pick up. You bring in the weapons you equipped before joining. If your team-mates die or enemies you can steal their weapons.

Now you may wonder how do you get weapons. I was considering how, but i believe introducing reward credits like in HALO: REACH is the best option. The credits you earn can be spend on armour variants or weapons.

To the actual combat i believe that using a COD killstreak during the battle to summon banshee's, warthogs, scorpions, Etc.

Ya that is all that i thought up right now but i wanted some other idea's that would make this work. Just hoping other people would agree this would be interesting.

Honestly? No. Its like CoDs system but worse. Imagine new players going up against fully leveled elites and spartans. Its like a level 1 character vs a level 100. Curbstomp wouldn't come close to describing it. And thats before bringing in killstreaks.

Just start over from scratch and try again.

I see what you mean it could possibly end up that way. What if the marines were removed and you just started as ODST with shields. You still wouldnt have loadouts, but the differentiation between them and the elites would make people choose carefully which one they want.

On the topic of being totally outpowered. I dont see how it would be much more overpowering than warrent officers fighting noble rank in HALO: REACH. It is difficult to win, but not impossible. I appreciate the critisism though.

For future posters please post constructive critisism.
