Some times playing Halo on the P.C just dosen't feel right.

Here way to do it!

1. Buy the Controller.

2. Plug it in the U.S.B port.

3. Download the software here.

4. Install it.

5. Check it is working by checking the game controllers in the Windows Controller Panel.

6. Now install Halo.

7. Once installed go in the game and activate the controller.

8. Now set the controlls to the same as the xbox version, but only White, Left button, Black, Right Button.

9. KICK ASS ON HALO!!!

(Note: I'd change the thumbstick sentivity to 1 or 2. Oh, the controller will not rumble and the game guide has no function. I am not sure about wireless pads.)

lol. If you decide to go out and spend $40 on a 360 controller for Halo PC make sure the store allows refunds and then keep all the packaging and the receipt in a safe place. You can thank me later.

When you're on HaloPC. It's a huge disadvantage when you play with a 360 controller.

With mice, you can turn any speed you like, with a joystick, it's a gradual-set-amount. And it's slower...

Fatso is right. If you bought a 360 controller just to play HaloPC with, you're going to get whooped, get mad, and want a refund.

Hmm, I see what you mean, I just find it hard using a keyboard and like the feel of a controller.

If you want to play for some casual fun and not worry about winning go ahead and use a controller but if you're looking to win and dominate at this game you need to use a keyboard and mouse. Halo PC doesn't have the aim assist to help you aim with a controller. Try teamkilling on Halo Xbox and you'll get a good idea of what it'll be like.

The mouse offers so much more freedom in movement compared to a controller. For example I sometimes like to run straight at an enemy and as I pass him I snap my mouse to do a quick 180 and melee for an assassination. Or hop right over him, quickly look down and melee his head. Or bunny hop all over someone keeping my crosshair locked onto his body while spraying my AR. I can no scope my sniper with extreme ease and fire with accuracy at the peak of a jump. Look straight down at a split seconds notice to drop a frag for my pursuer as I run away. Jump out of a doorway, spin completely around in a split second before my feet touch the ground to check my surroundings for enemies. Double melee a moving target while keeping my crosshair trained on him the entire time. This is just a glimpse of what I couldn't do with a controller.

I recommend, use the keyboard and mouse for multiplayer, and use the 360 controller for campaign.

That's what i do.

Stop calling it a CPU. It's a computer. A CPU is a processor for a PC like the Intel Pentium or AMD Athlon.

If you have an Xbox controller you can just make a USB adaptor and download drivers off the internet. Search google for a tutorial.

the mouse is easier to use than anything else. the only problem is the keyboard is a little hard to navigate 'cuz its kinda spread out.

No it isn't. All the keys I use in combat are located within the span of my left hand. W, A, S, D, Tab, R, E, R, Ctrl, G and Space. They're pretty much all grouped together aside from the space and crtl keys but those can be reached by my thumb and pinky finger.

For some major fun, I suggest getting the auto-aim assist. Although where to find it, I don't know!

yeah. dont.

auto aim assist is not fun... it takes the entire gameplay away... and its cheating... and thats not supposed to be discussed here... and theres a chance we wont see any more cpt overkill around...

Me, I'd totally go with the controller. But, then again I'm a console gamer at heart, my first FPS on PC was Halo PC. The only way to play PC shooters may be keyboard and mouse, but that isn't how Halo first started. It just feels more natural with the 360 contoller.
