i just read assassin's post a couple above me and it made me think what if you could some how hijack the banshees that the BOBs are in and get them to land on solid ground so you could kill them. i dont know what banshees they are in but if its possible to get them on the ground then somebody should give it a try. may have to be done with more than one person.

This is what I was thinking.

<(^^)> <(^^<) (>^^)>

as for your banshee problem, why not hijack the BOB out of it then kill him?
EDIT: I guess this wasn't the most original idea...

we work in the dark to serve the light, we are assassins. where other men blindly follow "the truth" remember nothing is true. where other men follow "the rules" remember everything is permitted. nothing is true, everything is permitted we are assassins

i dont want this to die... soo long searching exodus... and NA hmm hope this helmet is real... looks so pro... props to you game.

To those wondering about hijacking:

These BOB banshees are impossible to hijack. This may be because there isn't really a driver. When the banshee is destroyed you can't see a body come out of it.

I might have found another banshee bob on exodus. It is on the area where you get the second sniper rifle.

i know nothing comes out but if you can somehow hijack them then there is a possibility that it might give you the medal anyway.

Looks like I only found an alternate spawn for the BoB Banshee.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but it can really be only 1 of two things the way I see it
-A helmet 343 added in for their own personal use (They probably have a handfull of armory parts they can use, but can't release to the public as it's not possible without a huge patch)
-It's the equivalent of Recon in H3

Someone whanna give me hints for "searching for BOBs"? If he disappears after he spawns, how do I know if I've searched everywhere? he could be disappearing before I search his spawn area.
And has anyone tried completing Vidmaster: Oath in Halo: Reach yet? That could unlock it, or maybe if you complete the whole game using Vidmaster: Oath's rules (I'm not good enough at campaign to do that)

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

Both wrong. 343 had no input in creating Halo: Reach, just patches/maps/etc. after the game was released.

It would be like hyabusa with no one knowing where the IWHBYD skull is.

Also: BOB banshees can't be hijacked no matter what.

I think at this point we need to get a conformation with someone at Bungie that there truly is actually something to be found/unlocked. I am not asking for its location or anything like that I just think it would be fair for us to know if there really is something to discover.

It would be a jerk move to allow us to continue searching for something that doesn't even exist.

That have said that there is something. They have also implied that they made it impossible to find through hacking (See: IWHBYD skull in Halo 3).

  • 05.01.2011 12:33 AM PDT

yo i dont know if this has been said but i was watching that tyrant guys lone wolf "walk through" video or whatever and at the very end there is a bob that attacks and doesnt seem to disapear, if you already know this sorry

Subject: Regarding BOBS. (Long Post)

Posted by: The Game1415
Exactly Duardo.

These Banshees are more durable, and they act differently than other Banshees, but I'm not convinced there are BOBS inside of them. This might be Bungies way or throwing us off.

So the theories are a BOB kill on each mission on Legendary, which I'm two levels off of doing.

Or a BOB medal per campaign mission.

Have you tried highjacking these banshees? I'm not sure you've mentioned that before...if you have, then I apologize.

Omza - Every single Halo game: pwned!

Has anyone considered using the Pelican/Phantom Easter Egg to find the BoB outside the boundaries of the map? Perhaps on one of the Covenant Cruisers in the distance? Or maybe we need to utilise the Phantom's ability to move through buildings?

EDIT: What about the Banshee Easter Egg on The Package (thanks for correcting me!)? Correct me if I'm mistaken but haven't we yet to find any use for this Easter Egg?

It may be a jerk move, but they've done it before. The secret of sandtrap egg obviously didn't exist, and they have not to this day clarified that there was or wasn't anything there. I reckon the sit in their offices loling at us all day XD. That being said, there is some fairly solid proof that there is something there this time round.

I think you mean the banshee egg on The Package, and there is no solid ground outside of the map on NA, also if you go inside a building with the phantom it kills you.

"The Septagon symbolizes all that is right in the multiplayer world. A few million men and women, bound by honor, Bungie, and celebratory crouching."

LOL

This thread is entertaining stuff, first the defiant pack gave armour and then the bobs. What's next, Moas?

Kira is correct, your theory is good but without even the slightest shred of proof you cannot expect anyone with common sense to believe it.

39 pages going on 40 and now the topic is titled with a plea to bungie. I bet they are laughing as hard as the rest of us. :)

Sorry Game but I think you are clutching at straws and ultimately just wasting your own time. Still tho, it is your time and I wish you luck in this fruitless search. :)

I will now sit back and observe with barely contained amusement.

Today's L.D. Exodus challenge is up today. Let's cross our fingers and hope we find that BOB!

  • 05.01.2011 3:31 AM PDT

Bungie needs to make a game covering the Covanent side of the story on reach

Just a reminder to all of us BOB hunters, they disapear extremly fast. For one second they can be there and the next time you blink it dissapears. I know this has been mentioned before but look through the level in theater mode. Mybe you'll fid it that way.

Ok people I have some news:

The people who have signed up for the BoB kill team are as follows:

LC o MagiikZ
WPooney
IcanHazSausage
Duo Oratar

My apologies to whoever didn't get on, there may be openings later if people can't attend regularly enough. Alternatively, you could always organize a hunt of your own =P

Now as for those who are actually on the team, I tend to find that distributing a time to everyone never seems to work because of time zones or people not being on the thread so I'm going to keep a lookout for when your online together for now and hope that works. That being said, if everyone could be online in around 6 hours from when this is posted (8PM GMT ish) that would be great.

Has anyone killed the BOB in "Lone Wolf"?...

No? I didn't think so.

Here's another tip from another related video game:
Vidmaster:
- I give no secrets
- Punched all switches, played on Total Carnage and never ever left a single BoB alive.

No need to read between the lines, read EVERY line and think.

You don't know Bungie very well.

Also, as someone who never got into Marathon, could you explain what the vidmaster run was?

ALSO, from what I hear about it, everything from the BOBS to the switches seem to be complete references, and that Helmet looks suspiciously like the one from Marathon.

The thing is, everything links up so well for a reason. Only an idiot would think there's nothing to be found. An idiot, or someone who doesn't know Bungie very well at all.
