Fight to protect.
And always go down fighting.

I dont think a single Data Pad holds the key. If anything it is most likely hinted in most or all the data pads. It makes sence, why continue looking for the others when you only need to find 1? I suggest finding and reading them all in order, that would most likely give the best results.

I totally agree with the data pads does anyone know how many there are as well as what they say?

remember when i said in my theory that Bungie had to flip a certain switch? What if they added drivers to the BOBSHEES making the medal accessible on Bungie Day, or the day whenever they officially hand over Halo to 343i?

That's assuming the BoBs themselves are coded into the map itself.
Maybe they might update the game, recoding those 2 levels, witch would require an update but not as massive on adding new armor, might be possible.

But then again, what often looks like a simple answer, isn't.

Well there is talk of a TU for Reach when they hand it over 343i.......so maybe my theory has some credibility?

so far i have found leet speak replacing some of the letters in these data pads, maybe they are some kind of code, kind of like the hayabusa helmet for halo 3

The problem is the pad on Lone Wolf. The player will have to have enough time to read it before being spotted and attacked. If the player had a video capture device then they could just quickly go through it and read it page by page on the recording. The harder it is to get the more valuble it most likely is.

They seem to do this within the first senctence or so and corispond to the number of the pad itself, most likely so the players can try to find them and read them in the correct order. Though I do not know if this trial is of Sengalian (Elites. And I know I most likely miss spelled it), Covinant or Terran (human) origin.

Yes and no, a TU usualy consists of minor game adjustments such as firering rate blast radius time fuse....
Like the TU we had for Halo 2....

right but bungie never handed over a series/franchise to another company before (excluding the fact that they were bought out by MS) so they could be plotting some major changes. and the BWU did say about how Bungie wants its readers to start getting used to less Halo related info, which would leave the floor open to 343i to discuss if they never do.

i have come to the same conclusion but the only thing that stood out was that data pad 10 wasn't listed with a "0" in any part of the transcript
yes it was, in the first sentence "i've been trying to f1nd a back d0or into the spook house forever and ever and then I did but what did I find and why is this what I found?" The word "find" has the number 1 and "door" has the 0.... Wait a second. Wh1, 2, tim3, 4, stasi5, 6ecause, tru7h, 8ut, 9oing, f1nd, do0r, a11, somet1me2, themse1v3s, th1nk, 4, tr1ed, an5wer, ta1k, num6ers, symbo1s, pa7h, a1ways, 8een, go1n9.
These numbers might be more than to just tell us the order.

^ that jibberish almost makes sense ^^

datapad transcripts

this is a link to the text of all the datapads!! soo feel free to read up!

well the TU has been mentioned by 343i in one of the interviews where they speak of playing with and adjusting some of the code

[Edited on 05.01.2011 6:24 PM PDT]

  • 05.01.2011 6:21 PM PDT

the TU rumour was started by a post urk wrote on neogaf i think (if i remember correctly)

  • 05.01.2011 6:22 PM PDT

New armor for 343i only?

  • 05.01.2011 6:23 PM PDT

well time to play some reach!! hit me up! nerf herder 83

  • 05.01.2011 6:27 PM PDT

i think they might hint towards some easter eggs in reach through the next halo game.

Green, I think you might have been correct about the numbers. They are bolded, meaning that the programmers wanted the player to notice the numbers. I do not know what it might turn up, though if these numbers are not the answer then some clue might have been hinted somewhere in these data pads.

Shoryuken!

Mythic Mode Progress on Reach:
Winter Contingency, perfection.
Other levels in progress.

Maybe you have to find all 19 data pads while killing all BOB's?

Also, isn't there a white FM BOB on the second floor of sword base? O.o

Why, to (or too or two), time, for (or four), stasis, because, truth, but, going, find, door, all, sometimes, themselves, think, for (or four), tried, answer, talk, numbers, symbols, path, always, been, going.

Try unscrambling them and make it a sentence (or two).

Stasis is the word thats catching my eye. Could it be refering to MC in stasis after Halo 3 or possibly something related to the Forrunners.

If you look at the unnecesary capitalizations on those websites they just so happen to spell the websites name. So its somewhat fudged. Anyways, just dont go thinking that the secret hint to the helmets is on strengthgamer.com or whatever.

everyone read data pad 13's beginning, As must be expected with any calculations, a number of non-trivial sacrifices will be needed in order to furnish the Assembly with the time required to determine the correct pattern and then act upon it. Furthermore, once a site has been designated, its status must be obscured such that no individual, outside of this body, is fully aware that is has been designated.

This might be a reference that the community needs to kill so many BOB's in order for the two BOBSHEE's to count for medals.
