Subject: The "BOB" Helmet Theories Thread (Seek and Destroy the BOBs)

The whole "Bob" and "datapad" idea does have a little bit of grounding to it if you ask me. Consider that it is the first enemy you encounter on legendary, and he is actually carrying a datapad, also the fact that you get the medal for them. It would seem that they may have given three clues right there. Bob's can be hidden (cloak), seek them out, and a datapad connection.

I think there must be something obvious that people are missing though. I can't believe Bungie would make it too difficult to figure out.

Bungie could make it as impossible as they want. I refer you to this list for examples:

Sure it could be hard.. if indeed there is something to be found, and these things are small clues, it would seem that they do want it found.

The "BoB" helmet could be like Recon Armor in Halo or just Bungies way of going off with a bang. But, all the "Theories" here could all be true. Maybe the BoBs could be connected to something else other than Datapads, like what if you were inheritor and killed all the Bobs.

Actually having read an insulting post from the op my original assumption stands.

The OP is a silly little 10 year old fool.

If you disagree with this troll then you are cussed and called all kinds of names.

Oh and game, PM reported. :)

Have a nice day.

You're not only disagreeing, you're accusing OP of trolling, please leave this thread.

So I went looking for the BOB. I was on Night in Solace and he was in the shed in the first part you actually have to fight. He was next to the forkilift. I blasted him 3 times with the sniper and he moved behind the lift. So I ran down to kill him off and he changed to a different elite. Same color but different helmet.

Kira realized I had some good points so he opened up with "Use Paragraphs." See those indents inbetween the groups of lines, those are paragraphs. The big middle one didn't need to be separated into different paragraphs because it was a grouped rant of statements.

Kira, from today I no longer look, or read your comments. You're a waste of time and breath and have been in here since Page 3 just being negative and NOT helping. Unsave this topic and LEAVE.

Oh and I love how you think EVERYTHING is just a coincidence or has a logical explanation. News flash, this is Halo, one of the most Easter Egg populated series ever.

I said to use paragraphs since i prefer, and other also, reading separate blocks of text instead of 1 big wall of text.

Don't care if you don't read my comments and you say i didn't help but other see otherwise. You say i don't help yet you admitted to not even reading everything i said a while ago.
If you read my stuff completely, you'll realized although i don't believe in your ideas, i did contribute to it, just probably not the way YOU would want it.

And also, just because Halo is a game with a tonload of easter eggs, that doesn't mean everything in the game is one.

You remember where i said you can make anything you read on the internet sound the way you want it?

You implying im using an "insulting tone" yet i would be willing to place my 2 that it's all in your head since nowhere am i replying to "insult".

There is a pot of gold at the end of the Rainbow, and we will find it. There is WAY too much proof these BOBs were implemented for something just to say there is nothing.

And people tend to create myth and theories about everything and anything.

Secret of sandtrap
Secret of forge world
Golden Warthog
Armory man easter egg * worst one yet*

All huge mysteries created and fed by players.
not once has bungie said anything about them.

I don't disagree with you in the slightest Kira, but could you explain the secret of forge world and the armory man thing? I might need the ammunition later =P.

Would you two please lay the hell off each other? We have better things to do than argue about who has the more valid points, the problem here is not that one or the other of you is a troll, but that your basically have any argument based on things we simply don't have the proof to support either way at this time. Therefore this is pointless, because neither of you can ever be right.
Now if somebody could get a data miner down here, things might be different.

From what a recall, when anouncing forge world, Bungie also said that the area is so big that they could hide something just as big in it.
They didn't say there was something hidden, just that they can.
People assumed there is.

As far as i know, thats how the "forge world secret" started.

As for the Armory man easter egg.
Some user though that dressing up as the spartan you see in the image when your over the "armory" section in the menu will unlock something.
They ended up playing the game dressed as each noble team member.

Obviously it did nothing.

Also have to say the user that created the "Vanity" program went throught the game up and down, left and right, and didn't find anything.

I blame the large walls of text. XP

Just agree to disagree and be done with your petty arguements, otherwise you'll both be here for another fifty pages.

(By petty, I mean the subject your arguement is based upon, both of you have some very strong and some weak points.)

Oh, it has been confirmed in these forums that some data miners have found that not only is there a helmet, but a chest too. Not that I believe it.

The problem here is not the argument itself or the people, it's the lack of any watertight proof either way.

Can we suspended this argument until we get a data miner and get back to the good old days of telling people that you cannot hijack the banshee on New Alexandria?

I agree. Do you want to put a new team together for a full on hunt playing through the campaign sometime this week? Maybe two teams, anyone interested? pm me or Duo

My DeviantArt Gallery - For my Photoshop stuff, go have a look!

Question: No one has ever found a BOB on Exodus or New Alexandria, maybe they are out of bounds, or maybe they are flying in Banshees!

Answer: Yes, the BOBs for Exodus and New Alexandria ARE flying BOBS. They do fly in a Banshee. Exodus are two flying BOBS (one of which spawns during the Falcon ride) and New Alexandria has one flying BOB that spawns in at 5:00. I can confirm, after about fifteen + hours of searching Exodus on every difficulty and out of bounds, there are no walking BOBS. These two missions feature nothing but Brutes, so an Elite BOB walking around would feel out of place.
Sooo is some sort of activation button combination out of the question? I mean IWHBYD would have been mega difficult to work out. In this game we've seen switches out of bounds, some of which invisible I believe.

Hackers probably wouldn't have found it, they never found the Pelican easter egg so they would't have seen this.

They did find it actually, one guy on halo.bungie.org found it within about 3 hours of Bungie announcing there was something to be found.

Also, if anyone is interested, i need one or 2 people to help me try and hijack the pelican on Exodus using a spawn jump method. It would be when the hornets come to pick you up and the pelican is sitting on the ridge waiting for you to get in the hornet turret. My idea would be to have someone jetpack half way across but have a guy kill himself and spawn on the jetpacker and jetpack the rest of the way landing on the pelican. Yes i know there is a killzone there but its worth a try
