its a helmet. everyone needs to chill the fuuck out. even if it got released everyone would be wearing it within 3 days and it wouldn't be special anymore.

True and thats why i dont wear my pre ordered recon helmet that much anymore

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

No one has posted any proof of seeing this BoB or GRD helmet or anything. So, naturally, I refuse to believe it.

And a simple title update wouldn't work, as you'd basically be downloading the entire game again.

Can someone explain to me, HOW the IWHBYD Skull was ruined??

Hackers ruined it by looking in halo 3s scripts somehow. I mean random person decides to fool around on the covenent level and jump through the rings in a random order and going back to the bridge for no reason to get a weapon. OHHH a skull

Is it possible that when playing yesterday the bungie team eaither had a different disc or had downloaded the GRD helmet? It is still possible that it is not on our disc.

Very cool post. I anticipate finding more info on the BOBs.

Leader of the Deadly Viper Squad

on a certain campagin level, you had to jump through these gaint hoops in a certain order and the skull would appear, hackers figured it out right away and told everyone

Other than glancing at threads when this whole BOB stuff first popped up on the internet, I haven't really followed this search whatsoever. However, now I feel really inclined to participate in this effort.

Though first I need a few things to be answered, can somebody elaborate the number of these BOB's that can possibly exist? Is there only one per level (if so, in which levels have BOB's not been found), or are there multiple per level (If so, is there a known value to how many per level)? And how many BOB's to date can be killed? Which cannot be killed?

I would really appreciate some insight. Perhaps, all my questions are answered in the OP, but i'm hoping someone can sum up my questions in a sentence or two.

i have a theory on what GRD might stand for. seeing as the bobs are so hard to find, could it mean Genuine Reach Devotee? it takes a lot of effort to kill them, and that effort would translate into a devotion, like the OP has to this cause. also another thing it could mean is Great Ranger Destroyer :) lol

Kill your enemies. Kill your friend’s enemies. Kill your friends.

During Bungie Day some people saw an employee with the helmet in the armory named GRD. There is no proof of this.
