BOB - "help us help you"

Here's my idea.

Maybe anyone who downloaded the Defiant Map Pack already has it. This map pack was 691.43 MB while the Noble Map Pack was only 392.82 MB.

Maybe this extra space needed was the helmet everyone is looking for.

Its a possibility. Also on another thread someone who had early access to the defient map pack said that 343 told them that they would have to redownload it again once it was released and that it was 200MB bigger the second time.

This is interesting, maybe they had to re-download it because the initial download didn't include the helmet because they didn't want anyone to have early access to it.

I just want to say, wow. I don't really even care about the helmet that much, but all the stuff I've learned today is amazing. One, there's a -blam!- white square on the third floor of Countdown. I didn't know that. Also, the map doesn't have a roof. I didn't know that either. There are also a -blam!- ton of unused rooms in both the map and the campaign mission it's based on. I'm a -blam!- General and I didn't know this -blam!-!

Edit: You guys may be right. I don't see how anything could fill up that extra 200MB except maybe more armor. Don't forget there was also a new chest piece.

No helmet is 200MB big, I can fit the entire Nanosuit player model from Crysis and it's textures in file 20MB big. You could fit an entire map or two in 200MB.

That is very interesting. But, I still think it is pointing us to the Defiant Maps, Unearthed in particular.

Perhaps this helmet involves the data-pads throughout the campaign. The Elite carrying the data-pad in the first mission is a spec-ops elite the second armor. Thus you enter the second ring. What i can tell is that the order of the puzzle is 2****1. The main objective ATM is to figure out the numbers of the holes you drop through. First floor (Shotty room) is 1 next Floor. (1 floor above the Shotty room) Is 2. The ring on the ground in front of the rings is a distraction -Pointless-. The concentration is to find out what the other numbers of the datapads are. Elite armors, Building numbers ect. No matter what the highest number you will see is 7. With 10 total missions within the campaign missions the Code is 10 numbers long so its 27*******1 Its IWHBYD all over again.

At this exact moment I and some friends are currently attempting to crack the Code GT: Hyperion 67

No. This holes idea beats everything else I've ever seen on the forums for ridiculousness. They were probably just watching one of their games back, it means nothing! One of them was also wearing a green hoodie, perhaps we have to do something with Jun because he's also green?

No need to be rude a simple "No" would've sufficed.

Im surprised that no ones stated that GRD can stand for grade. Top 2 would be grade and guard.

I blame myself, not Stosh.

Don't each of the datapads have a number that replaces a letter? Does anyone think that may be order that we have to jump through the holes?

The fact that it is bigger than the noble map pack is probably because it has a FF map. As for having to re-download it, well that im not sure about.

Eagle Rock Blue

WHO ARE WE?!

Wow, you guys are awesome. We need more of you in my group, Legendary Searchers. We find Halo Easter eggs (Sorry for posting this)

Anyway I haven't been following much but I HONESTLY think the way to get it is simply kill every BoB once on Legendary. Maybe Heroic. Honestly I don't think anyone has, because we just recently found the Package BoB Banshee. And it seems that most people play it on Normal/easy to find the BoBs. I'm currently trying this, but it'd be great if I could have others helping too. So everyone that wants to: Go kill all BoBs (INCLUDING BANSHEE BOBS) on Legendary. Thanks for your time!

  • 07.09.2011 10:38 AM PDT

THose are just telling you which number the data pad is.

  • 07.09.2011 10:38 AM PDT

i was looking on countdown and i decided to get out of the level. so i did and then i went to theater mode to look around...and i found a door. now if the door can be even used before u die idk or if it can even be used. but im going to try

  • 07.09.2011 10:40 AM PDT

Its just a game.

Obviously i did not read 125 pages of this thread.

However, i'm still going to say something that might sound stupid.

We have BOB in Elite forms and BOB's in banshee form.
What if there is a BOB elite drop pod (in long night of solace) ?

There's a challenge sometimes to shoot a few of them down.
No one probably knew you could shoot them down before that challenge appeared.

Just thinking out loud.

  • 07.09.2011 10:41 AM PDT

how would a drop pod act differently then another drop pod....
maybe a differnt color. and a bob pops out of a drop pod on the beginning of the level

I am going to call them bob pods from now on :P
It is possible it would change to gold, but i wouldnt be surprised if it looked exactly the same though.
As for acting differently, maybe it leaves from a different port or something?

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.

I'll vouch for the redownload thing. I also had the DMP early and had to redownload it to play it. When I tried to play with other people with my "Early Pack" it said everyone's maps failed to load. This whole "Helmet was added in the actual launch of DMP" may be true because if a new armor was added it would have to be added to the .map files too. And yes, the second DL of the Defiant Pack was MUCH bigger. If you want, I can upload the pictures of the DL sizes.

To make myself more clear: The maps failed to load because they were different .map files. All the armors are already in the .map files of EVERY map in the game. For new armors to be added the .map files of the maps would have to be edited to include the new armor. That's why I think the armor was added in the actual DMP. My first MP DL was around 300 MB I think and the official launch version was around 500 MB.

I was trying to make a point about the silliness of this idea, I could upload a picture of a wall and you would have equal reason to believe it pointed to an easter egg.

Driven by success.
Follow me if you wish:@JamilDeanTriaa

We're just going around in circles. The Countdown thing has nothing to do with the helmet! It's unbelievable what these people come up with. We need to focus on the BOB's! If all the theories have been completed then we can move on to the Countdown thing.

We need to get one thing done before we start looking around for other possibilities.
