Guy's, I think we're looking at this from the wrong angle.
OK, so Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary comes out later this year. It is not going to be a full game. Now, Halo 3: ODST was also not a full game. But, it came with the complete Halo 3 multiplayer and the ODST campaign. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will come with Halo: Reach multiplayer and the Combat Evolved campaign.
With Halo 3: ODST you were able to unlock Recon armor for Halo 3, what if with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary you can unlock the GRD armor for Halo: Reach?
Perhaps with the Halo: Reach multiplayer (included with Combat Evolved Anniversary) there will be new achievements for Halo: Reach. Which will require you to do something on one of the classic maps. But you also have to unlock an achievement on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to completely unlock the helmet.
The only way I can see a way to actually enable the helmet is to activate it through Halo: Waypoint after you've completed the requirements.
Recon was already on the disc when it shipped, which is why you saw Bungie employees wearing it in-game. GRD is not on the disc, therefore not currently unlockable.
The only way GRD is possible if it is somehow added with DLC.
I never said it was on the disc. What I am trying to point out is how Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary relates to Halo 3: ODST, which was a requirement to unlock Recon.
The GDR armor may have been added with the Defiant map pack, it may be added with future DLC. But I think the armor will be shipped in the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary disc. Which will also contain the Halo: Reach multiplayer.
