ok im anoid now it's taken bungie this long to allow pelicans to be flyable why so many secrets just make pelican flying compulsory in some missions or give you all viechles for forg.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I agree you need to check your spelling.

Meh, I dont care about vehicles. Yeah, they are fun at times, but I normally like infantry fights.

yeah but viechles could be used to upgrade infantry fights for instance you can fly a pelican/phantomget troops and take them to the battlefield then return to base pick more and keep doing the same or play as the infantry and fight alongside the ai in a meanacing battle

Yeah, or the Phantom/Pelican will get shotdown and all the players in it die at once.

Alot of people would say they want it at first, but later no one would ride them due to the sheer size of the Pelican.

i meant the players drive and AI jump in after you press a button (ex-hold x/rb to resupply pelican) then (hold x/rb to activate manual controlles).
then you fly to battlefield drop off the men when LZ is clear+ flying a pelican while being shot at from all directions is kind of fun, have you ever been flying a falcon on halo reach and your being chased by 4 banshees then you have to manouvier your way around i love doing that

"Ignorance is a plague."

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

Go get Halo CE for the PC. You can have multiplayer maps with Pelican and even Longswords. It doesn't work very well at all.

I don't understand why it is so hard to understand what "Bungie Universe" means.

New Alexandria has a little easter egg that allows you to fly a pelican/phantom that has proper controls and graphics

i know i host game for friends and randomers for that i also found out that if you put the nose of the pelican next to a marine they will get in your turret but not many people get a chance because of how strict i am

Marines will also get in the passenger area too

  • 04.17.2011 6:30 PM PDT

How would that work? It's not possible to hijack a Pelican unless there's an animation that shows to player breaking into the cockpit, running past all the passangers nonchalantly, running back with the pilot, throw him off and then take control. It would be unbalanced and unappealing to players to just sit in there and chill while the guy with the rear turret gets 20 kills.
Same goes for the Phantom.

It's not that I don't think it would be awesome, I just don't think it would work properly and be fun for everyone in the game.

i know, sometimes a marine will be showing at the back

  • 04.17.2011 6:33 PM PDT

do u not know how this easter egg works?

  • 04.17.2011 9:04 PM PDT

Off-Topic: Could you please at least try to be more grammatically correct?

On-Topic: I do agree that there should be flyable Pelicans and Phantoms in Forge.

PS: What's "compulsory"?
