You are an elite...called the Master Elite. You are the master of the elites. Elites think you are cool. Prophets like you too. They gave you a Special Mission! :O

Mission: Destroy a bunch of humans in New Mombasa!

Forces: 112 Grunts, 84 jackals, 76 elites, 63 brutes, 44 hunters, and a visous dog thingy

Vehicles: 32 ghosts, 12 Covenant Buses, 25 banshees, and 9 phantoms

Environment: a bunch of building to hide and cower behind(for the grunts). Steets, potholes everywhere, windows, you know, the usual.

You also get one reinforce ment drop which replaces all the critters under your command that has died...use it wisely, cause if you lose one elite and call one in, then you get only one elite.

Start your planning...i will determine if you win or lose! MWAHAHAHA! POWER IS MINE! I AM TEMPORARILY GOD!

I don't think you've really got these missions down well have you. I won't even begin to start telling you where you've gone wrong, the list would be too long.

I'm sorry to shoot you down like this but I feel I really can't reply to this thread with a 'battleplan'.

I'll just point you towards the mission I made and you can see where you went wrong. Here's ODST Missions 2

What is the point of this?

ive read ODST Mission 2 and IT KICKS BUUNKY! i am also a covenant sympesyzer or whatever. MY "battle plan" would be to blow up the city with abunch of ships in space.

READ BETWEEN THE LINES! if the covies were smart they would just destroy the moon, therefore wipe out all of humanity that is unfortanate to live on earth.

HEY I WON!

Do you know that you've just proved that this thread (and subject as a whole) is absolutely pointless? The Covenant would simply just glass Earth if they wanted to destroy it.

People have already come to the conclusion that there's something on Earth that the Covenant want; that's the reason why they haven't glassed it. The Covenant are smart enough to stick to their objectives instead of galavanting around the major cities and causing havoc.

The reason they actually send out forces to the cities is to distract Human forces as Special Ops troops search Earth. They simply wouldn't make it their dying wish to destroy 'a bunch of Marines', especially with such a great arsenal like you descibed. They'd most likely sent out just enough troops to pin them down so Special Ops can search the area.

PS. What the hell does "BUUNKY" mean? Is that some sort of hobo slang that's meant to be abusive, then turned on its head by some ghetto slang where "bad" actually means good? I simply don't know whether you're paying me a compliment or offending me.

Dekedence you are right i did'nt think of the artifact thingy you were talking about. BUUNKY means butt (sry if that confused you) and its not hobo slang.

Its cool, I admire the fact that you're steering away from stupid "I'm the Best!" posts and the such.

Just follow these simple rules on writing missions:
* Subtlely introduce how many enemies there are and where they are on the map. Don't make it too exact as it will seem a little fake, just make it sound like an estimation as its better than absolutely nothing.

* Make sure you describe the land in great detail and make sure it is extremely clear. I took the longest time describing the land of missions as this is what makes people's battleplans different. If the layout starts to get a little complicated, it might be a good idea to create a plan view map of the area. If you make a map, make sure you have somewhere onilne to post it (my mistake). To make it sound genuine, talk about satellite images.

* Match the arsenal you are giving as close as what they're fighting. Its pointless having a mission where 100 ODST have to hunt out 10-20 rookie Covenant as no-one will answer if it seems too obvious that your side will win. Although its not too bad making you the underdogs, don't over do it and have 20 ODST versus a Covenant arsenal!

* Stick with scenarios that require the enemy to stay put and for you to come to them. Your initial information is what drives the mission; once its done it can't be updated. Can't exactly describe how an enemie's battle plan is before it happens can you? (Although 'Rat Nukem's idea for an intercepted transmission did make it one hell of a lot more realistic).
