Can there be a way to tell which moderators are online on Bungie.net? It would make it so that if you see a disturbing thread or a member that should be banned, you know which moderators to PM so you don't waste your time giving private messages to moderators that won't see them for a while.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

How many of these threads can be posted here in 1 week?

7.

Bad idea. If spammers see that no mods are online, chaos erupts.

I just wish people would at least read the front page.

Why is there five choices when all you really need to say is "yes" or "no". Anyways, I dont think it's necesary. Just get gmail and your set :)

Just put a big sign at the top of the forums saying all of the mods are online constantly. Due to the conduct of many people on these forums, I really don't think they'd be all that hard to fool.

I think it would be a bad idea, it's a bit of a two-edged sword. While no one in their right mind would spam (ect) while they knew a mod was online, people would also be aware of when they were not online and could create all kinds of havoc. As with most ninjas, I think their stealthiness is one of their greatest tools and should not be taken away.

Here's a link to a download for Google Talk™.
* A moderator is usually on.
* Google Talk™ has e-mail notifications.

Here's a link for Mozilla Fire Fox users for the yakalike extension.
* Stosh seems to be the only moderator as of yet to utilize this application.
* Not many bungie.net users know about it, do not use Mozilla, or do not wish to use it, so traffic is almost nil.

Here's a link to HFCS' member database Group Members.
* Takes a while to check each member's "Last Login" date.
* Sometimes unreliable because times are not always exact - although they update while a user is logged in, try hitting the refresh button.
* Users may not be logged in by the time you finish finding a suitable moderator and have finished typing your Private Message.

I think yakalike is dead...I'm online often (because I do a lot of web work) so you can contact me through msn, gtalk or aol. My screen names are in my sig. Don't be shy and report spam!

MSN is usually your best bet. I think EVERY mod uses MSN at the moment, and once you aquire our emails (like I know you will, >_>) then it's the most reliable method.

Or just PM the mod that last posted.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

So you got that right, everyone? You add TGP and give him links to bad threads and whatnot at anytime of the day. He's like your msn slave. ;P

(disclaimer: Don't.)

Your best best is either IM, IRC (i know it's Instant messanging to but i don't care) or Randomly PM someone. Chances are, one of the mods'll pick up on it sooner or later.

I had a sudden thought. We all know that some type of karma system is coming right? Well, suppose that once you get to a high enough point of good karma that you can see when the Mods are on. That would make sure that only good members can see if the Mods are online and it would be a reward people would want to be good for. I'm a genius.

That sounds a little silly. What if there are good members who haven't had time time to build up karma, and want to report a thread?

Also, you know that's we're getting a karma system? When did you learn of this?! Where can I learn of this?!

Mine is hidden jerkface... would it kick us out if we had a joint MSN account and signed into multiple locations?
