Gearbox has announced their new project, a WWII based game, and with that occupying their time, how could anyone believe they would support Halo PC any longer? It's sad really, knowing Gearbox had 6 months to support the game and with only a handful of patches, the game still suffers from a number of problems and now it seems as if those problems will never be fixed. So, as the title of this thread reads, will Halo PC be forgotten or will the community find a way to fix a lot of Halo PC's problems on their own without support from Gearbox, Bungie or Microsoft?

The guys at Gearbox got this same question in their forums when they announced they were working on something new. From what I remember, they said that they have seperate teams working on the new game and supporting HaloPC. As for how long this is going to go on... your guess is as good as mine. As for the meager number of post release patches, that's a huge mess. The new patch is taking a very long time, and there is, at the moment, no official word on what's taking so long. All that's been said is that it's "in testing".

no halo PC will never be forgoten cause for all those that don't have an Xbox then they will keep playing and I have a Xbox and multyplayer isn't fun with just four and halo2 isn't comming out for a while so no it won't be gone problems will stay u fix it it fall a part again then there's all the work to do again and Bungie wouldn't do that to its game.
That's what I say

Halo PC still has plenty of good days ahead of it. When the editing kit comes out, I think we'll see some fresh life come back as people start rolling out new maps and creations. Plus it's still the only way to play Halo online until the Fall.

I have to agree with others and say that Halo pc will last for a while longer. The only reason I really purchased Halo pc was because I loved the XBOX version and I couldn't pass up the chance of playing Halo on my new computer and the chance of having massive fun with multiplayer. Sadly, my joy highly dropped, as I'm sure others did as well, when i ran into horrible framerates with my 5200. As I'm getting a new graphics card, I'm sure my love for Halo will resurface once again. I'm hoping this time that it will last until Halo 2 hits my XBOX, as for when this happens, I think my social contact with the outer world shall be blocked for a time feasable of fully taking in the awesome experience that I will have.

I think the game was gone, after you had to lead your shots by 2 feet, and a vehicle warped right onto your skull..

Well personally I think Halo pc Rocks, but since I don't own a Xbox and won't get one in the near future. My opinion might be a little onesided. I find sad that gearbox might be passing Halo pc to the self, but it sounds like it's still going to support it.

Halo pc has already died for some, but for those that are waiting patiently on the gearsoft team will be in luck, the new patch is going to add a spectator mode where four people can spectate the matches. It also helps the games gameplay run 60% better, with a new net code. Of course many will probably leave for halo 2, but pc will keep its hardcore fans for quit some time. The new patch will be among us soon, maybe in a couple of days. :)
