Alright... I have Halo CE and Halo 2 for Xbox. I got my Xbox 360 on the release date and had a question that someone might be able to answer.
I like the original Halo and was wondering if I could play online on my computer.
I was looking at the Xbox 360 controller and it plugs into a USB port.

So I was wondering if I could by Halo CE for my computer and plug in my xbox 360 conroller into the computer's USB port and play Halo CE for PC through my Xbox 360 controller. Because you can play the original Halo CE for Xbox on it.

That would be really cool if you could use an Xbox 360 conroller and plug it in and play Halo for the PC.

Just wondering please post if you know any info... Thanks!!!

Whoa whoa whoa!!! A few pointers: Welcome to The Maw. for Halo PC...

1. Halo CE is known around The Maw as an abbreviation for Halo: Custom Edition, the add-on for Halo PC. We refer to Halo: Combat Evolved as Halo1, or HPC.

2. It's pretty confusing what you're trying to get at with all the descriptions of what types of which you have. Please clarify. We don't need to know, for example, that you have Halo 1 and 2 for Xbox, it's irrelevant. All we really needed to know was that you have an Xbox360 with controller and are wondering if you can buy Halo PC and use the 360 controller with it. That being said...

3. You can't play HaloPC with a 360 controller designed for the 360 itself. It must be a 360 controller specifically made for the PC in order for it to work. If you have the audacity and the ability, you could tinker with it to get it to work with the PC. However,...

4. You should learn to play with a mouse and keyboard instead...they're faster, more efficient and far more accurate.

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

You can play with a 360 controller on PC, and it works with Halo PC AFAIK.

Yes, you can use the 360 controller for Halo PC, but you have to download software at the xbox website.

Yes Halo PC has online. Don't know exactly what you're asking but launch the game and click multiplayer and then join internet game. You can communicate using text messages and there is absolutely no fee to play online.

Many people don't know this but there's a free demo out now that lets you play Bloodgulch online or you can go through the single player level Silent Cartographer. I've played the demo for almost a year until I got the retail version.

Because he's not an imbecile, because he has a sense of economy, because he is not you, the list goes on.

So are you calling everyone on XBOX LIVE and imbecile?
I take offense to that.
It is a lot better than the online play and system on Halo for PC. I do play that, but XBOX LIVE is a lot better due to stats, voice being built into every game, and a friends list that carries throughout all game.(yes, there is Xfire, but XBOX LIVE does a better job)
