Subject: Headhunter Elites

I read Evolutions quite a while ago and the story that was one of the most intresting was headhunters. Something baffled me about the story though the elites. These elites seemed to match spartans in stature easily. Dislocating Jonah's shoulder at the end when they grabbed him. Even though they died can anyone shed a little more information on them. All I have gotten from halopedia is that they were some spec ops elites. Could these elites match Noble or any other spartan in an engagment. Lets say blue, red, or Noble.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

You kill some of them in the Halo: Reach Campaign, they appear in the Sword Base level. They are the camouflaged Elites who wear crimson armor.

Elites are bigger than most Spartans...

I'm not sure I understand your question.

I don't believe those are the elites. The elites that the headhunter team was a lot more dangerous than those wimpy elites

Play the Campaign/Firefight on Heroic and you won't be calling them wimpy, not only are they always camouflaged, but they also have Energy Swords.

Hah a joke that's all they are. The elites that ambushed Noble where pathetic. Those are not the elites that I am wondering about. They had red energy swords for christ's sake!

I think you're confusing the Zealots of Winter Contingency to the Stealth Elites in Sword Base, nonetheless, if you face an Energy Sword Wielding Stealth Elite it's a 1 hit kill from them.

I'm not mixing them up. The spec op elites where led by a general and an engineer is inside with them. There shields drop in half a second from fire. I think your not understanding what I am getting at. The elites in the book were no odrinary spec ops. They had green armor(I think) that was also somewhat camofluaged like a chameleon. They had a red energy sword instead of a blue standard one. Tell me what were they!

Well, you gotta understand that the Spec-ops Elites in Reach are a mix from the traditional Spec-ops from the other games and the Stealth Elite, having the skills of the Spec-ops and the shields of the Stealth Elite, so they are crappy.

This Elites are the ones that fit the description tbh, seeing how no other Elites use active camo and Energy Swords.

The Headhunter Elites/Elite Deathsquad in Reach was those Zealot class Elites who stormed you on Winter Contingency.

Where is your proof, it sounds somewhat believable, but still the death squad had a red energy sword.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

They are caught off-guard by a squad of cloaked Spec-Op Elites. Roland is killed by an Energy Sword with a blood-red blade held by a Spec-Ops Sangheili wearing highly customized armor, and Jonah is surrounded by several other similarly-clad Sangheili.

I'm not sure if the if the red Energy Sword is a signature or requirement so much as an ornamental thing. The evidence is that was a small group of some of the highest ranked Elites working to achieve a singular, particular, and fairly covert objective. Not only that, but it is presumably, one of these Elites who kills Kat as well, probably having tracked them there knowing it was the Spartans, looking to kill off a prime target.

Never is it absolutely stated, but it's implied and suggested throughout Reach.

The Headhunter Elites are not standard Spec Ops units. Their armour was completely different. The helmet had a cycoptic visor, there was ornate patterns on the plates and the camo they used was not the standard active-camo.

Didn't they have active camo and then their armor was chameleon like, similar to the SPI armor?

Something like that. In any case, it's pretty obvious that they are not normal Spec Ops elites.

Yup

There is no doubt these Elites are far different then the ones we encountered in the games.

Holy -blam!- they are badass

This would be the closet thing to what was in Headhunters. Allthough, I doubt that it was Zealots. They seemed more the elite of the Elite Spec Ops.

No indeed, they are certainly not normal. Frankly, I don't think those Headhunters even stood a chance against them since it was something completely new and had never been encountered before.

"Sa kyr'am Nau tracyn kad, Vode An."

Think if them as the Tier One operatives of the Covenant. They're definitely not the Spec Ops Elites you saw in Halo: Reach. Especially considering they had customized armor, something most Elites weren't permitted to do. Also the fact that they seemed to toy with their kills rather than kill them honorably.
