Have you ever noticed that most of the weapons fire rounds that are not only big but there in-fact down right Huge/Powerful.

Let’s have a look:

* The shotgun is an 8 gauge. An eight gauge??? That’s a huge shotgun round, not to mention that it’s a 3.5' magnum round.

* The AR holds a sixty round clip of .308?

* The pistol fires a round much like that of the IMI Desert Eagle, a .50 cal. pistol round. The manual calls it a 12.7mm AP round, yeah no kidding.

* The S2 AM is one of the best. It fires the 14.5x114mm APFSDS round. That, for the record, is bigger then .50 cal; who’s dimensions are 12.7x99mm, and yes this the round that is fired in the M12 LRV.

* The Covendant weapons are even better.
Yeah anything that fires a blot of energy that could power a city, is pretty impressive. There output is measured to range from 100kw - 250kw. Can anyone say BBQ......

But, what’s kind of weird is that the Rocket Launcher and the Tank fire rounds that are not only somewhat normal, but kind of small in comparison.

* The RL fires a 102mm dumb rocket. The US ATA 4 is a 82mm Smart Missile.
* The Scorpion fires a 90mm round. The US Abrams tank fires a 120mm Smooth Bore Cannon

It is bigger. The lower the guage. The bigger it is. Trust me. I know an adult who hunts a lot. He has told me that ^.

http://www.chuckhawks.com/intro_gauges.htm

as you can see "The actual (nominal) bore diameters of the various gauges are as follows: 10 gauge = .775 inch, 12 gauge = .729 inch..."

Or look here for this nice table

Check your facts before you try to burn someone

Yes and no, it depends if its pellets, number of pellets or if you are using slugs

Example - Whats more accurate 2 pellets in a 12-gauge or 20 in a 16-gauge?

Uhh dude if the army gave their soldiers 8 gauge shotguns and if they did not have a efficient enough spring by the time you would fire that gun once it would break your shoulder soo fast that it wouldent be funny I have fired a 12 gauge shotgun before and it hurt the first time I fired it. If there was a gun that had that kind of round you would have to be a terminater or a spartan to fire it.

The smaler the number the larger the slug, it's like in electronic cables, the smaller the guage, the thicker the wire. People need to learn these things.

Yea it might hurt to fire a 12 guage. But if there were enough padding incorporated into their vest or whatever they might be wearing then they could use an 8 guage. Plus people hunt with a 10 guage.

A 4 guage needs a special harness that goes up against a wall so you don't kill yourself with it.

You have got to be joking me. A 4 gauge? Come on, if in halo ( a made up game!! ) there is only an 8 gauge, do you really think that there really is a weapon out today that would fire that kind of ammo. Even if there was, do you think that any idiot could go and buy one, blow his arm off, and it would not have been the papers/press at some point in time.

There's being funny, and then there is lying through you teeth. Just think about what you are going to type before you post it, that’s why there is a preview option. I started this tread in the hope that someone would see this, find it interesting and say something educated.

I bet if you duel wielded two 4 gauges and shot them at the same time both your arms wont work anymore...but thats just s guess!

lets put it this way if I had an 8 gauge shot gun and I shot you it would be more likely to kill (Depending on range) easer to miss but a heck of a kick/punch now if I shot you with a 20 gauge I would be more likely to hit you but less likely to kill you (depending on range) the smaller the gauge the more kick/more punch but yes a 20 gauge shell is larger than a 8 gauge.
