How many of you have read any of the Halo books? You know, the ones with Chief and his old team? It's a vary good, interesting, entertaining series of background info. on Chief and how he became a spartan and other awesome things.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

I've read Halo: The Fall of Reach all the way to Ghosts Of Onyx and to be honest, I liked Ghosts of Onyx more than the other 3 books.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I liked the Chief series of books, FoR to First Strike. Cole Protocol was pretty alright and Ghosts of Onyx was a great read. Contact Harvest was kind of meh. The only one I really do not like is Cryptum.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Having read all the novels, my favourites are Cryptum, Contact Harvest and Ghosts of Onyx. I really loved how Greg Bear put such a great amount of depth into Cryptum's story that it turned much of what we thought we knew about Halo upside down and branched it out into more plot lines. The first person perspective was a fresh change from Nylund's work.

Contact Harvest was also brilliant, the character development between Sif & Mack and Dadab & Lighter Than Some was brilliantly pulled off by Staten and both relationships met a rather poignant end.

Get rid of Ghosts of Onyx, and I couldn't have said it better myself.

I've read every Halo novel, other than Cryptum, and overall my favorite would be Fall Of Reach. The Halo Canon through fiction is simply amazing. Almost all the books are enjoyable to read, and bring out the real story of the Halo Universe. I just wish Bungie could of based more of their games off the novels.

Signatures are for squares.

Having read every single piece of material I could get my hands on, this includes all the comic series, my favorites would be Cryptum and Evolutions.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I've read all of them except for Cryptum, and they are all great. Some better than others ofcourse.

Fall of Reach, Ghosts of Onyx and Contact Harvest were clearly the best. I would consider Evolutions in there too, but it's not really a novel, just a colletion of short storys, of which most were incredibly amazing.

Dirt is defenantly my favorite from Evolutions.
