Subject: Halo 2 PC help please.

I just installed Halo 2 for the PC, it starts up, it says press any key, I press a key and it asks me to create a new profile or use an existing account.

So I sign in using my XBL information and it says it's downloading my profile, it shows the download bar but then it disappears a couple seconds later as if it's done already and I didn't even see the download bar move at all. Anyways it disappears and then an update notification comes up saying I need an update to continue so it downloads it, exits back to my desktop, then downloads Microsoft redistributable or something like that then it starts back up and asks me to create a new profile or sign in using an existing account so I did the same thing and it said it's downloading profile and does the same exact thing.... I did the same thing 3 times in a row and I'm just going in a circle WTF.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit if that matters.

"Am I right marines?" (marines - "sir yes sir") "Mmmhmm damn right I am!" - Sgt Johnson (Halo Combat Evolved)

im not sure if i can help, but my friend has windows 7 and halo 2 runs perfectly, but i think he is running 32bit architecture, so i think thats where ur problem is. u could either try the following:

> dual boot ur windows 7 with vista 32bit(look up on youtube - make sure u do ur research!!!)
> try installing on a friends pc who has 32bit windows 7

but actually do some research into this as i am only spitballin' here (even though im pretty good with pc's)

sorry i cant help u much here

(Bungie > 343i)

Try downloading and installing the Windows Live Sign-in Assistant.
