Connection isn't based in science.
I'm a good player, probably the best left on Halo 3. The only thing holding me back is American/Euro/Mexican Host. Give me a good connection and I will be unstoppable. I guess Bungie sees that, and agrees that it would be unfair for me to ever have a good connection.
Nice one

Your 'beliefs' mean less than dick to me.

I play best when I'm calm. Unfortunately video games, Halo in particular, are not at all conducive to me keeping my calm. One kill stolen by lag, or a highlight reel type snipe from someone else on me, and I'm kinda mentally screwed for the rest of that match, at least.

I also hardly ever play when I'm in a peak mental state to begin with, and am in violation of most of Dailure's rules.

I find that I lose a match I get annoyed and keep losing.

If I'm not playing well then I'll play a few social/low ranked games until I relax. If that doesn't work then I just play another game or something and try again the next day.

I do pretty well when I use my gigantic dick to move the controller.
Does your neck get sore from keeping your head down?
HAHA YES!

Burn.

i lay best in the middle of the day, when i've had themost activity. studies have shown that physical activity increases brain function. and i see that in my playing, so if ive been out riding my bike or have jus come in from a walk or something i play best

The thing is, a lot of the best default Halo Reach players and some of the biggest default Halo 3 Matchmaking warriors.

Gotta love those verb-less sentences.

Halo 3

your hands have to be warm and flexible and responsive. I fricken hate playing with stiff fingers. That's why the summer kicks @ss ;)

I went outside today. The graphics were AMAZING. The gameplay WASN"T.

Maybe I should cry for help
Maybe I should kill myself
Blame it on my ADD baby

I dunno. It is just how I am.

Some days I am extremely good, but most of the time I'm complete garbage. I don't really think I'm more relaxed or concentrated. It is just a random occurrence.

I think it has a lot to do with teamwork, but as far as individual skill you kind of have to play fast. I notice when I go away a long time I'm not rusty at all. The game feels fast, but I can actually play at higher sensitivities and I make better instincts. Mood probably does have a bit to do with it. If you are bored you may become impatient and just rush into teamshots over and over again. Hard to say there is a science to it. I would say if you want to play good play with good people. You won't get better by playing with friends that distract you and suck. Trust me I constantly play with people that are terrible and it really hurts your game and focus. Try and meet people with similar skill and different roles. That way you won't be fighting over weapons. Always take risks and try to take shortcuts. I only ramble coz it's 4:45 AM. x(

I know where you live

Well I don't know about you guys, but I play best after I have had a nice long cryosleep...

You are what you eat! Your reactions and your hand eye co-ordination can be severally affected by poor diet, dehydration or lack of sleep.

Don't drink too many sugary drinks, even energy drinks, although they give you a pep at first you'll soon feel tired from them. Try and eat carbs and starch, things like pasta and vegetables, don't eat junk like crisps and chocolate bars.

The room temperature can also have an impact, you want to stay cool and comfortable since your body will heat itself up when you're playing games, believe it or not.

Don't sit too close to your screen even when you're trying to focus because you'll end up straining your eyes, sometimes it's not noticable but it will cause a tiny tiny delay in your reactions, it's all about getting that first shot :)

Ensure your hands are dry and your controller is clean and free of greece.

Most importantly go into a game with the mentality you're going to demolish every single player. Don't bother checking the other teams ranks because sometimes you'll put yourself in a mind set that you're going to lose and you'll play different.

Just remember. You. Are. Awesome.

Such a high spirit :) You dont find many people like you around anymore.

On topic-
Believe it or not i only play good when i am nervous. It keeps me on edge and focused. I find that when your hands are cold its hard to play at your peak.

I just try to stay calm and collective. When I get nervous my hands start to sweat and I can feel my heart start to beat harder. Especially when games are like 48-48 with a minute to go.

Gotta remain calm
