Subject: Slip Space Jumping Is Basically Teleporting

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Well, it would make sense since they're small human teleporters. It's pretty much the same thing just on a larger scale.

In the new Halo book based on the Forerunners they actually discovered that ripping a hole through space isn't viable. Infact when you go into slipspace you travel in 1 of 6 different Dimensions. One of which is called The Glow because for whatever reason Ionic particles glow bright yellow there.

Basically going into slipspace is breaking the 4th 5th 6th 7th and 8th walls.

Also Covie ships are based around old forerunner ships but because they are billions of years old the plasma lasers deteriorated making it look like jell instead of being precision accurate. The race we know as the Prophets teamed up with the humans way back when and scattered the Flood but the Prophets and Humans were also fighting the Forerunners, the Prophets Surrendered but the Humans fought till the last drop of blood, the Forerunners then impregnated several humans with DNA that would revert humanity back to Lemars and Gorillas.

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstien

Think of it this way:

Normal Space
(A) -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- (B)

Slipspace
(A) /|/|/|/|/|/ (B)

You aren't allowed to move faster in Slipspace, space is just more condensed.

And I'm guessing the difference between good slipspace technology and bad is how closely condensed you can get it to be.

No. Good technology is its ability to navigate and enter/exit smoothly. Covenant tech was more advanced and allowed them to make jumps within the gravity well of planets (although not in-atmosphere).

I don't think there's that big a difference between Humans and Covenant in terms of the actual Slipspace drive, it's the Covenant's more advanced sensors that allow them to map a more optimal route through the tangled dimensions of Slipspace.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

Slipspace splits the bonds of atoms creating miniature black holes. What the slipspace drive does is it widens that gap large enough for a ship to pass through and plots a course through a alternate dimension to another atom where you are headed.

Like I said, slipspace is another dimension. Physical barriers mean nothing in normal space because slipspace is transporting matter through eleven different dimensions, so saying it's "teleporting" is technically correct.

Incorrect, Bloodlines clearly shows that the Forerunnners at-least had the capacity to yank ships back into realspace. So yes most physical barriers have no effect in slipspace but that doesn't mean you are safe from all the dangers present in realspace.

The concept of slipspace travel is this;
we exist in a 4-Dimentional space, scientists are thinking there could be as at as 11 but the halo books hints that there could be a lot more.

what a ship does is rip a hole in space and travel in these higher Dimentions where the space between two points are closer than in our normal space, so ships do not have to travel across light years of space to reach a destination, they simply disappear and Reappear at their destination.

teliportation works on a similer consept exept the range is significantly less, so it suggests that a lower spatial Dimention is used.
