how on Earth do the Forerunner use Precursor technology against them, many many many years before Cryptum, when they still have absolutely no idea how it even works...? that is like humans being defeated by ducks, with them using our technology against us, even though they have no ability to understand or use our technology thus rendering it impossible surely? Precursor technology must have been very very advanced if the Forerunner (who could build entire worlds, massive spheres concealed in another 'dimension', build weapons that can actually eliminate all life in a galaxy, the list goes on) couldn't even understand the principles of what it was based on. bringing me back to the question how do you combat that?

the only possible answer for me is similar to what happened in Stargate universe, the Ancients were very very advanced but they weren't warlike or anything, so where relatively inept at fighting.

also how is it hard to believe a species as advanced as the Forerunner could leave the galaxy by choice? look at how far away Installation 00 was from their space, getting their took what, the blink of an eye? would probably equate to getting to another galaxy taking a couple of minutes!

1. i don't understand how the concept is hard to understand clearly our education system is shambles. Seeing how the precursor Created for a purpose ( i assume for building) they would have had access to their tech and the knowledge to use it. thus they rebel and use that tech against them.

It is no different than a rebel picking up a military gun and using it on the army.

2. The ark was Barely outside the Galaxy and that was built with the pinnacle of forerunner technology along with the halos. the Reason you can't just leave the galaxy because you have to take preparations and there are factors.

They would need a sizable population so they don't get reduced to in breeding, food, Enough ships, fuel, building materials, Military. Even if they could make it to another galaxy they would need to find a planet suitable.

Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar.
tenn' Ambar-metta!

The precursors are mention from the beginning in Halo: CE, when the Master Chief plugs in Cortana into the Halo system.

The stone buildings like on Sandtrap and Sandbox form Halo 3?
No, the stone buildings on Delta Halo in Halo 2. Though, those stone buildings might count, too; they just came 3 years later.

I still want to figure out the secret of Sandtrap. It's so mysterious...

Should be easy for the forerunners. Just get a few ships..

Cortana: "You know, I think the Forerunners built these new structures around the old, to protect them, to honor them. Pure speculation, mind you. I'd need to make a thorough survey to be sure."

From the level Regret on Halo 2.

But now it is more likely the forerunners had a revelation about humanity and that then happened.

The structures are nothing like what precursor structures are described as.

"Where ere thou hast been, here or in yon world manifest? Canst thou tell what is, or what was, or what is to come? No thing shall last. Yet there are some things that will never change. History is written in blood, yet are battles really lost on the battlefield? Canst thou tell me where thou comest, and where thou goest, and what is, or what was, or what will be? For everything remains, AS IT NEVER WAS."

"Precursors are described as "very large", with 4 upper limbs and 2 legs. Also having an "ugly head shaped like arthropods" - like spiders or crabs - they have oval, faceted slanted eyes and a "flat face". Coming from the back of the head is a long tail with a 2 meter barb coming out of it. Whether this is the way all Precursors look has yet to be revealed, but this is the way the prisoner on a Pre-Human world is described.

So... Like Cloverfield?

KIWIZ RULE THE WORLD!

Its just that nobody knows it yet...

They could of had really sensitive circuit or highly evolved adaptive circuits (like a nervous system) so they could have been destroyed in a blast meant for nervous systems seeing their so similar.

  • 05.17.2011 4:27 PM PDT

This theory will probably be shot down quickly, but the Prisoner may not have been precursor. It could've been some flood specimen held by the Precursors. This is pretty crazy, but what if Precursors were...

Pre-pre-historic humans!
