Subject: Evil Otto and 343i confirm Nicole-458 IS CANON

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

That's all nice speculation, but where is the official statement saying she is Class-II?

I got my answer about Nicole!

Official answer!
All vociferously clap for Vociferous!
Case closed. Because Vociferous is more credible than Otto, imo.

Based on a "real" and properly defined Spartan
The character was created to be a cameo for another game. She has no other purpose. She could become canon if Bungie decided to do something with her, but chances are highly unlikely.

Doesn't matter if Bungie says she's canon or not, it's not like she's going to ever be used for anything.

Indeed, based on does not make Nicole that Spartan. They could feature somebody in some game based of Johnson, would that make them him?

However, Immortaljoshua seems to be way to stubborn and grasping at straws...

Oh well let's see, Nicole was conscripted in 2537. This is also the same year that several candidates were conscirpted (or escaped conscription) for the Class-II project as stated in ilovebees. Oh and let's see, Bungie made her bio. Both Bungie and 343 said that everything about her except for the DoA4 part is canon. oh what does that mean? That oh let's see, that Class-II is canon?

Yeah......no. The entirety of your "proof" is ilovebees which for the most part is not canon because they did it without keeping Bungie in the loop about the content so it had conflicting issues with what Bungie had in the HSB. Also the canon hieracrhy makes class II's non canon by default since the books say the class II's were never made and books>marketing/PR
Oh but you say that Halsey didn't get the funds for Class-II? Oh but maybe she didn't get to oversee Class-II in the end? Didn't she also in the same book theorize the existence of Elites?
So ONI discontinued the S-II C-II's in favor of the cheaper S-III project only to go back and make a larger class of S_IIs at the same time? Really? Oh and retcon.

End of Debate. I'm leaving this thread.
Ragequit? Its for the best since at this point you're just sticking your fingers in you ears and screaming lalalalalalalalalala
Go on and try to ignore what the holders of the Halo canon have said.
You mean when Bungie and Frankie said ILB isn't canon and how you ignored the 7 pages of people telling you it isn't.
edit: Just did a bit of searching around and only a few parts of ILB is accepted as canon. It wasn't said what exactly but we can still rule out the class II's due to conflicts with a higher form of canon.
But don't worry, you'll accept it soon. Just like how we all accepted S-IIIs with MJOLNIR armor.
lolwut? Theres nothing wrong with S-III's in MJOLNIR. The only people who had problems with it were those who hadn't read the books and though they weren't strong enough to wear it.

Signatures are for squares.

Halsey devised the Class II project, but in her journal it says she took most of the funds and invested it in repairing the "washout" Spartan II's. She had to fund additional surgeries and a ton of more training and rehabilitation for those Spartans.

Basically, Class II was cancelled by Halsey to fix up the 11 remaining washouts.
