Subject: Human Forerunner relation, right in front of us

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

I've noticed this for a while and I don't know why people noticed this before.
We've known what the relation between Forerunners and humans weren't biological.
In Halo 3 if you read the terminals, the Librarian clearly states that she's encountered humans. She indexed them into the Ark. So that means that Forerunners and Humans are not biologically related.
Now of course, what caused the huge -blam!- storm was when a RAMPANT 343 Guilty Spark called Chief (or also humanity) "forerunners." Now this could mean that humans have become the inheritor of the Forerunners, therefore "becoming" forerunners. Kinda like when a kid is adopted, sometimes they get their last name changed to that adopted family's last named.

Now if you read Halo: Cryptum, you know that Precursor's created Forerunners (and possibly humans, and (in my theory) the Flood)

Now how exactly is it that Humans can activate Forerunner tech? Is Forerunner tech a combination of old human tech and forerunner tech? Did the Librarian have all Forerunner tech acknowledge humans for use? Do humans actually have traces of Forerunner DNA in them?

Have you seen my mind anywhere? I seem to have lost it...

0x0 x0x 0x0 000 000 x0x 000
x0x 0x0 0x0 0xx 000 0x0 000
x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

This has something to do with the Forerunners passing the mantle on to humanity. Why they did this with the species that they had a massive war with will be explained in the later books.

It could be because they saw that the humans were able to beat the Flood before the Forerunner-Human war and hoped that humanity would be able to defeat the Flood once and for all.

The relation is biological, the first few dam chapters state that forerunners and humans are very very close in genetic relation. I think the Librarian was talking about Modern man seeing how we first emerged when halo was fired, so we could be the missing link as IRIS suggested.

the word "forerunner" is a simple title just as the ancients in stargate weren't always called the ancients. the forerunners obvious programmed all there tech to respond to humans as forerunner (which is easy due to genetic similarity).
And seeing how chief and the other spartans are augmented (forerunner mutations) and are in armor (combat skin) it isn't to far off the understand the mistake if it even is one.

Or the simple Answer is humanity is older than the Forerunners and they deserve the title.
