hey guys my graphics for halo suck...when i first got the game everyone was gray and there was no texture to the environment at all. but after that i found this patch to give color to everyone's armor and texture to the ground. but here is the prob; 1st the color to the armor has no shine or texture to it what so ever...its just a plane color. 2nd the texture the the ground is not great like in blood gulch. the normal graphics in BG has a sand and a grass texture to it bit for me in BG all the texture is just sand and were the grass should be its just green sand. 3rd when i look out towards the end of any map i see these really lame texture pattern of like little blocks of texture. 4th everyone's face mask is black and not a copper color. 5th i cant see blood and stuff. and 6th i can not see bullet holes in the walls or ground.

so i ask you guys dose anyone know of an even better graphics patch that will help me out?

my computer is a DELL Dimention 2400 desk top. (yes i know its not a gamming computer)

srry for any misspelling I'm in a big rush!

Goto "Settings" then "Video Setup" and turn eveything on High and don't change the Resolution or Refresh Rate unless you need to.

Integrated graphics simply put sucks for gaming.
SInce that PC doesn't support an AGP port you're pretty much screwed.

The bad: Limp speaker system; no AGP slot to upgrade weak onboard graphics chip; minitower case leaves little room for future expansion.

Too bad your graphics don't look like this

Go out and spend a few bucks on a new computer, it would suit you better.

No and you're not going to see any improvements by getting a new monitor. Wildkyle1990 the problem is your desktop isn't a gaming machine. It was never meant to be. The fact that it doesn't include any AGP ports speaks for itself. Read the link I posted.
Dell's budget Dimension 2400 trades 3D gaming prowess for multiple optical drives and general functionality.
Get a new PC with gaming in mind or research the internet for computers that include AGP or even better a PCI express.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

Man, I'm thinking I'd better get a new comp. before I get Halo PC in a few months. How much does a decent gamming PC cost?

wow, i'm suprised at you guys! eaither the level of techinical knowlege in these forums have greatly dropped, or the niceness factor has.
yes, your problem is you video card, which processes the graphics and displays them on your monitor.
you need to buy a new one. it's your only hope.
so what to do?
well, your computer lacks a PCI express or AGP outlet. therefore, you need a PCI card. a list of good cards can be found here
that link will probably break as soon as i press post, so i'll check back.
i would recomend the nvidia 5700, as it's the best PCI card to date, or the 5200 as it's a very good card for the price.

ok so for the 5200 one are you talking about the "Apollo 5200 128MB PCI Geforce FX5200 128MB DDR PCI Video Card - Retail" and another question if you know how much would this graphics card help out my graphics? or what in your opinion would be the best one to get?
