HALO 3's miltiplayer is good but i found HALO C.E and HALO 2 more fun then the other halo games at the time because it had better maps and the weapons did what they where suppose to do and where all balanced (except for the pistol in halo 1, such high damage and long range for a weapon that small, but the game was still fun).
the SMG is too powerful/AR is too weak in halo 3. i would of liked it better ifthe AR was stronger, louder, had a higher rate of fire and more bullets like in halo 1. the SMG in halo 2 was better because you had to make more use of its dual wielding capability because it was a side arm and not as effective by itself but in halo 3 all dual wieldable weapons (except the pistol) can be used by itself and still do almost as much damage as a primary weapon.
did anyone else hate the pistol in halo 3? it had far too heavy recoil considering its damage. i miss the halo 2 pistol with its high rate of fire, though its not the best pistol in halo but its how a pistol is meant to be: low to moderate damage, close range and high ROF (especially when dual wielding with another weapon)
now that all weapons are powerful in h3 (except the AR, pistol) the sword isnt as useful and intimidating as it was in halo 1 and 2. even though it did make easy kills which started to irritate players in halo 2 if they got killed by it so many times - it was still how it was meant to be, the ultimate close range weapon which was least abundant on the map (i liked it that way, even if i wernt the player using it and i got killed by it so many times)
would of liked halo 3 better if they didnt make the rocket launcher weaker/smaller blast radius/slower project traveling speed and remove its lock-on mode.
there are many more reason but what do you guys/girls think?
