Subject: What was your favorite part of the ODST campaign?

I loved everything about it honestly. The opening drop scene was just purely epic. Roaming around Mombasa Streets was really awesome, I could do that for hours. Playing through Uplift Reserve was a blast, especially with the music.

definitely the beginning where they get dropped over the carrier.

I liked the part on the rooftop, it was just a lot of fun firing missile pods and spartan lasers, blowing stuff up with awesome music playing in the background.

Yeah, the sniper mission was close quarters. I seemed very out of place with my sniper. I was hoping for more long-range, in the city, sniping. That was probably one of the few negatives.

Microsoft's carelessness was a colossal failure.
They failed to protect Halo 2,
When the great journey is upon us
Their heresy will stay their feet.
And they will be left behind.

I liked all of it. My favourite is probably being in the city at night though.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

Uplift reserve.
The cutscenes were awesome, Dutch is probably the most badass ODST, its fun since its an all vehicle mission, and i REALLY like how in the last cutscene if u jump off with a warthog it appears in the cutscene, but if u jump off with a ghost it shows that instead.

Silenced weapons, all the levels were great, story was cool, audio logs were neat. The list goes on.

Thus he came alone to Angband's gates, and he sounded his horn, and smote once more upon the brazen doors, and challenged Morgoth to come forth in single combat. And Morgoth came.

The atmosphere was great. The music was superb. I liked roaming around the dark, gloomy Mombasa Streets. The characters were very likable. People we could relate to. The voice acting is another thing to add on to the list. I could listen to them bicker back and forth for hours. lol. Also, the silenced weapons and VISR mode. Plus the whole aspect of being an ODST was great. I like ODST's better then Spartans. They're more human, imo.

Pretty much sums it up for me. Loved everything about the game.

Everything. After the original, this is by far the best IMO. It took the game in a entire different direction, and I would say my biggest and really only complaints were length (being too short), and secondly, I wish they would have handled humans health being lowered from that of Master Chiefs kind of poorly in that the game is not really made around that mechanism in mind to the degree which I would have liked, but also made it felt like you were playing as a vulnerable human instead of a weak Master Chief.

Other than those two small things, I loved the music, the moody atmosphere of the landscapes, moodyness of the lighting and peripheral sounds, Vergil, the Superintendent, Sadie and her story. AND then I enjoyed ODST enough playing through the first time, but the second time playing through the game I really loved what they did with the back stories and almost like you were collecting and piecing together the story yourself.

I love this game and was really not expecting to. I was following it being a Halo fan, but critics kind of dumped on it, plus it was just an expansion pack, but it felt like an entirely new game that I wish they would make a sequel to, if only a spiritual successor.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

I really liked the Mombasa street sequences I thought it really bought something new to the series.
