The legendary ending for Halo 4 is Masturcheef and Arby making love.

I like ODST. FF is more fun than Reach's.

Well, what made me really mad was that it's campaign consisted of short levels and and even worse Marines. Bucks love story really got in the way for me. As for the majority, many people felt ripped off that ODST had very little features compared to it's price. If it was priced $30 when it came out, that would have been reasonable. The only reason it was so expensive was because of the HALO 3 multiplayer disc. People felt ripped off from that they barely gained anything for how much they spent. The multiplayer disc only had 3 more maps than what everyone already had and contained no campaign. ODST could have been a $20 DLC or would have been that much FAST if it was being sold independently of it's HALO 3 multiplayer disc.

The firefight was amazing and the campaign was great. However, the majority of Halo fans play the games for the matchmaking, so they were quick to move on from ODST because of the lack of matchmaking.

ODST had some problems at first. The matchmaking was the worst part about it, but it gave it more of a challenge, like other people have said.

The eerie-ness to the campaign was great and I thought it was well played. In comparison however, the game was short-lived. Since it was only used as a way point to bridge the time gap till the release of their next game, which is disheartening.

I wish there was something more for it, or they at least go this way later with more of their games. Keep the feel, go more in depth with the story and make it a bit darker. Just as offshoots for the original series/franchise.

Hi, person viewing my profile! I am an experienced Halo player and have been playing for seven years now. I also enjoy Forging occasionally! I like Halo!

Halo 3: ODST is a very good game in my opinion. It brings in that Campaign spirit and anybody who loves multiplayer will absolutely hate it. Since I am not much of a multiplayer fan I love the game. Back in 2009, people thought Firefight was amazing in ODST. But when Halo: Reach came, Halo 3: ODST Firefight died out. But was replaced with an even better version of it. But I would enjoy both versions of Firefight better if it had more specific achievements. ODST has a few like "Be Like Marty" , where you have do survive a round without killing a single enemy. If Halo: Reach had those kind of achievements, I would enjoy Firefight and play it a lot more. Anyway, Halo 3: ODST is a very good game for Campaign and Firefight fans, but Bungie did not really aim their redicule at multiplayer fans. But the extra disc is like destroying newbies and getting an Unfrigginbelieveable for the multiplayer guys (and gals). It is full on with the Heroic and Legendary map packs that you would've had to download off of the Xbox Live Marketplace. Cool, huh? To summarize this, Halo 3: ODST is a great game for the Campaign lovers. This was Pie Maniac 99, over and out.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

It's because of the price-tag (Being $60 when it released), a rather short campaign, and no matchmaking. That's why people didn't like it. Personally, I love it. I think it's a great game and one of the best Halos.

Honor est praemium virtutis.

Apart from Halo: Combat Evolved, it's my favorite Halo game. The campaign, though short and not very difficult, was amazing. Everything about it came together perfectly, from the story down to the voice acting (which I loved due to my being a massive Firefly fan).
Firefight was a genius move by Bungie, putting their own unique essence into the already popular Survival mode.
I'm positive I'll still be playing ODST 5 years from now.

Multiplayer was no different for me since I had all the packs except MMP2. Campaign was alright, but it wasn't that different. Plus the epicness wasn't there. And firefight was doomed without matchmaking. Once MW2 came out, none of your friends were playing firefight.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

I love ODST it had a great story and a really unique atmosphere about it.

Bungie stated that the game was essentially a campaign add-on and that it was not intended to be a full fledged game.

Plus, this is what's wrong with the gaming community today. Not just Halo, not just Xbox. Everybody is so focused on multiplayer, multiplayer, multiplayer. To me, the thing that should be top priority, is the story/campaign. Now, developers just slap on some half-ass campaign and focus mostly on the multiplayer. (CoD, Reach.)

I agree but the Reach campaign wasn't half-assed, in fact it was better than Halo CE, 2, and 3's combined.

I think if there weren't any achievements that required matchmaking, you'd hear a lot fewer complaints about it. It's certainly the only fault I could find in the game since every last one of my friends passed on ODST.

The short campaign was a little disappointing, but i did like the alternate level *kinda* where if you find all the audio logs, and the security guard turns on you. And I loved the FireFight, but no matchmaking.....

I like Call of Duty and Gears of War, AND Halo. Why must everyone else like only one or the other?

I'm guessing you didn't read The Fall of Reach did you? Reach's campaign is the worst in the series IMO. (Hell, I think Halo Wars campaign is better) But I agree with SEAL Sniper. Too many games today focus almost entirely on multiplayer, and completely ignore the single player part of the game. Multiplayer is all well and good, but I enjoy a fun single player experience too.
