Subject: How did Jun die?

"Find where the liar hides, so that I may place my boot between his gums!" - Rtas 'Vadum

Fall of Reach Adjuncts?

I was not CASTLE base, it was bloody Miridem. The Spartan that died protecting Halsey was Sheila.

Since this hasn't been posted yet, if remember correctly there was a thread about this a few months ago and someone said something about them making to castle base but even though there was no evidence supporting that it was indeed Jun but they said in the Covenants report or something of the assault on Castle Base there was a Spartan that died protecting a human. Now I haven't read the book and I'm not sure which book it was from but I'm just posting what I saw in a post before.

This. I believe it was that someone said in the newer releases of the older books that a spartan was mentioned to be killed while protecting halsey on her way to CASTLE BASE.

No...It was in reference to Sheila who died protecting Halsey as she attempted to flee from Miridem.

That bit of misinformation is like a cockroach. No matter how many times you step on them, they always come back. Somebody somewhere reads it, believes it and then spreads it around.

It was not directed at you solely either.

Jun, as said by Bungie in the Legendary Commentary, is still alive and kicking...
His known where abouts... Unknown... possibly Castle Base with Halsey and the other Spartans.

*cough* Dyson sphere. *cough*

He wasn't mentioned in Ghost of Onyx. Not there.

Meh, i heard that Jun was in the Dyson sphere with Halsey, I heard that from somebody discussing this 3-4 months ago saying that the legendary journal Halsey mentions what he's doing at that time.

Source? Halsey's journal mentions nothing as to the fate of Jun.

Since the journal ends as she gets ready to give cortona away.

Not suprisingly, The guy who thinks Jun is Mc Has Snipez in his name.
Do Jun and Mc sound anything alike to you?
I think not.
Also you never see Mc's face.
You see Jun's face however.

Leader of the Deadly Viper Squad

I can only hope that Jun received the most tragic, horrible and fruitless death.

  • 04.25.2011 4:04 PM PDT

Halsey ended up in Castle Base, and she didn't have a Pelican in the book, so I bet that Jun dropped her off, let her get set in, then took off to look for Carter, Emile, and Noble-6, because he doesn't know what happened to them. Who knows maybe he collected their bodies (scrapped Carter off the side of the Scarab) and buried them or something. I think he's still alive

  • 04.25.2011 4:28 PM PDT

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

My guess is that he fell on his own sniper because he was pretty terrible.

Then explain why there were Spartans alive on Reach in Halo: First Strike and explain how Dr. Halsey is still alive after that? And who says they were there during the glassing?

They were under Menachite Mountain and inside CASTLE Base.

Read the damn books.

In fact, they were at the portion of Reach that wasn't glassed yet.

The monk is right, in the books it says that the covies "missed a spot". That spot would be large enough for Jun to hide in and cause havoc to the aliens

Jun isn't in First Strike, so canonically he is dead. He doesn't get off planet and that area doe gets glassed eventually.

He could be alive. He's status is never explained in the book, heck hes not even mentioned but that doesn't automaticly make him dead

He isn't with Halsey in First Strike and he doesn't get on the Gettysburg-Ascendant Justice to escape Reach. He is dead either way.

  • 04.25.2011 5:16 PM PDT

No, he's not dead. Haven't you people ever thought about what a glassing is. The Covies need a whole armada to glass a planet, because its a slow, precise process. That didn't happen with Reach, they came, they started, but then Halsey got her hands on that artifact and alot of them went off to chase her, others had to go help out at Instalation 04 and 05 (Not sure if those are the right ones) They never finished Reach, and based on how long it was said it took to glass other planets, and how long they were at Reach, i bet they left a LOT unglassed. Probably just hit major population centers.

Reach was glassed pretty heavily. Reach only became habitable again in 2589 when they terraformed it. Jun wouldn't last long anyway because the atmosphere is effectively gone and there would be no food and very little drinkable water.

You're very negative. You don't want to really look at the possibilitys, do you?

All I'm seeing is that you have no body that proves it. And explanations that could be false. When it is proven that Jun died and i see his body then I'll believe you and even apologize to you, but for now I'm gunna keep my hopes up
