All I'm seeing is that you have no body that proves it. And explanations that could be false. When it is proven that Jun died and i see his body then I'll believe you and even apologize to you, but for now I'm gunna keep my hopes up

Your hope is as pathetic as the folks who say Noble Six is alive because we don't actually see him die. Oh well, you keep believing Jun somehow survived living on a world whose atmosphere has become poisonous and has very little food and water for about 30 years.

No, he's not dead. Haven't you people ever thought about what a glassing is. The Covies need a whole armada to glass a planet, because its a slow, precise process. That didn't happen with Reach, they came, they started, but then Halsey got her hands on that artifact and alot of them went off to chase her, others had to go help out at Instalation 04 and 05 (Not sure if those are the right ones) They never finished Reach, and based on how long it was said it took to glass other planets, and how long they were at Reach, i bet they left a LOT unglassed. Probably just hit major population centers.

Reach was glassed pretty heavily. Reach only became habitable again in 2589 when they terraformed it. Jun wouldn't last long anyway because the atmosphere is effectively gone and there would be no food and very little drinkable water.

You're very negative. You don't want to really look at the possibilitys, do you?

All I'm seeing is that you have no further arguments.

No, Jun is a Spartan, and every Spartan has basic training in piloting, including space-faring vehicles. This was Reach, a massive military and commercial hub. Pelicans are space worthy to remind you, he could've left the planet in his Pelican or any of the many space vehicles that would be on a Space Warfare Hub. Either way, hes a Spartan, and Spartans Never Die.

6 is dead as dead can be. and for all we know is that Jun isn't on reach. He had a pelican, he could've escaped to a fleeing Unsc ship

So let me get this straight, Jun drops Halsey off, and uses the Pelican to get above Reach's orbit. And somehow, he finds a surviving UNSC ship even though the Covenant are still present on Reach and would've shot down any ship attemptign to flee. If there were ships left, why didn't Six and the other Spartans present at the end of Lone Wolf get evacuated?

And for that last statement, you're a moron.

And on another note Jun's suit could work in poisoned atmoshpere, it has filters, and even then it can work with NO air. Not to mention a pelican has those filters to, and can also work with no air.

Wow man your a real party-pooper. Ok let me first off say that what i said at the end there was supposed to be funny. And who says there were Covies there still. Like I said they had more important places to be, as Master Cheif was busy being Master Cheif and they had to find Halsey. Either way, when they bring Jun back in one of the future books, won't you look like a downer.

1. MJOLNIR only has an air supply of about 90 minutes.
2. MJOLNIR can filter toxins, but if Jun doesn't remove his helmet, how can he eat? What will he eat? What will he drink? And oyu expect me to believe his filter will last 30 years?
3. What happens when the Pelican runs out of power?

Oh yes because I totally expect Jun to camp in the pelican for 30 years. IT's a military hub, he's a spartan, he'll either get off the planet, or find somewhere he can camp out indefetily. More likely the former, at which point his piloting skills come in handy.

It's not a military hub anymore, major cities and military bases with a large part of the planet's surface were glassed. Nobody stuck around and the Covenant glassed and raided the planet for a good solid two weeks while looking for the Forerunner crystal.

Covies don't like to touch our stuff remember, besides, they obviously didn't look very hard, they missed Castle Base, the massive Buried forerunner artifact, the spartans in a cave, and we can assume other stuff.

Why do you think they kept that portion of Reach untouched? And they may not like to touch our stuff, but what does that have to do with glassing cities and military bases? They did that throughout the war.

So I'm going to lay this out just for Cobra. Jun is a spartan, meaning he had a completely sealed suit with air filters. The Pelican we assume he has with him was also sealed and had the same filters and was completely space worthy. Reach, being a massive military hub, and being the covies rarily ever fully glass a planet, we can make a basic assumption that there would be some reminants intact, leading me to two possible conclusions:

1: Jun took the Pelican to a city and found somewhere to bunker down, possibly dropping a beacon for the UNSC to find him.

2: He took the Pelican to orbit and found a ship, occupied or not, and went somewhere else OR he used the Pelican to find a ship on reach with a Shaw-Fujikawa drive and went somewhere else.

And being that he is a spartan, the best warriors ever crafted by humanity, I bet he's chillin on a beach on Earth, or out fighting Covies in another system.

Oh yeah, the Covenant barely glass worlds bad enough. Totally habitable by man. Just ignore the superheated surface and flames.

Nobody came back to Reach besides the Gettysburg-Ascendant Justice and they retrieved what was left of Blue Team and Dr. Halsey. Nobody else was left on Reach and no UNSC ship was stupid enough to stick around.

Okay then, but that still doesn't mean he couldn't have hopped in a ship that was on the ground. He's a trained spartan, with the best tech and training that the UNSC has to offer, with a pelican, on a planet that wasn't fully glassed, as Halsey abd Blue Team managed to survive it, Blue Team in a cave. He made it out, and until a book come out saying he is dead (and it won't happen) your gonna have to deal with that. Jun is alive and kicking

Yeah, they survived inside of CASTLE Base under a mountain, more than a cave. And I ask again, if there were any transports left on the planet, why did none of them help evacuate Noble Six and the other Spartans from the Lone Wolf level? The Covenant still had a huge presence on Reach and no transport would have a chance of escape.

Halsey ended up in Castle Base, and she didn't have a Pelican in the book, so I bet that Jun dropped her off, let her get set in, then took off to look for Carter, Emile, and Noble-6, because he doesn't know what happened to them. Who knows maybe he collected their bodies (scrapped Carter off the side of the Scarab) and buried them or something. I think he's still alive

He's dead, nobody survives a glassing.

I'm not really disagreeing with you Cobra, but I think it is just as likely that Jun got off Reach as him dying on it. There were obviously still people at CASTLE base when Halsey and Jun got there, I mean it says in First Strike that Halsey volunteered to stay behind and eliminate all the data still inside. I think the likely options with Jun are he either:

A. Died protecting Halsey at CASTLE Base or on the way there, or possibly died helping get the wounded members of Red Team inside.

Or B. He left CASTLE Base with all the people who evacuated it and either got off planet with them, died along the way, or died with them.

I think it more likely that he's dead, but there is the slimmest chance he got off with some of the other survivors on Reach.

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

Jun is not dead, at least we don't know that he is. Last we saw him was when he was taking Halsey to Castle.

And on another note, wouldn't Bungie have been kind enough to say we killed him off. It wasn't up in the air when Jorge went boom, or KAt got shot in the head. So II think because the didn't tell us, we'll find out either in a Fistfull of Arrows (which I think is cannon now), or in the Ghosts of Oynx sequel coming out soon.

Jun, as said by Bungie in the Legendary Commentary, is still alive and kicking...
His known where abouts... Unknown... possibly Castle Base with Halsey and the other Spartans.

yes Ghosts of Onyx was made before Reach, but the book The Fall Of Reach was the first book written, before halo 3 i believe and as we all know the game has a little to do with the book, not how master chief got off reach but thats a whole other thread

*cough* Dyson sphere. *cough*

He wasn't mentioned in Ghost of Onyx. Not there.

Yes but then Halo: Ghosts of Onyx was made before Halo: Reach.

Anyway, my theory is that when Jun and Halsey got to CASTLE Base, Halsey kicked Jun out and after some fighting, he got off planet like Buck and Dare.

Well that's too bad. it was doing a good job of making Noble team actual characters.

Agreed, the artwork is stunning and the story is beautifully made.
