When Reach got glased, did all the prototypes get destroyed, Didn't they save the papers, files, prototypes some ware else?

ex. DMR didn't they have a single copy of it on earth, or on the pillar of autumn.

or

AR's, didn't they have any paper of this, or files stored some ware
else.

1. the dmr isnt a prototype it is a weapon used by UNSC army forces the reason other games dont have it is you play as a marine marines use the battle rifle
2. many prototypes on reach were probly lost and data on them either had to be transported off planet or destroyed
3. some data/prototypes probly made it off planet and could be researched/developed further

There are a lot bigger canon problems with Reach than meer weapons.

If Bungie had to stay true to canon, they would have had to make everything exactly like Halo CE or worse. But for the benifit of making a better game, Bungie decided to add some new weapons and vehicles.

Armour abilities were Noble Team exclusive.
Without Halsey (she went MIA) they simply forgot most of the prototypes.
DMR and Grenade launcher were outdated and only used by the Army.

Weapons and vehicles have no canon errors since thei is the only game where you fight alongside the Army and the Covenant was using special forces and outdated weapons/vehicles that weren't used on later battles.

The thought that the Battle Rifle was being tested at Harvest, and took until Halo 2 to be put into service is absurd. Same with the SMG. Especially considering the DMR was supposedly in service in the Army for a long time, which would imply that the Navy lacked any sort of marksman rifle? Absurd.

Weapons need some retconning done, which is funny, as that seems to be the only part of Halo canon Bungie refuses to flat out retcon.

How many firearms are used these days by the various armed forces atm?
How many do you think would be mainly kept in circulation in different systems in Halo? Do they use one type of gun throughout the universe?
There's no real break in the cannon with the different weapon sets, they just haven't been used in the other games, so to speak, where you've been.
The games are only condensed versions of the cannon, untimatly, giving a small look at things for the ease of editings sake, imagin desinging 100+ different types of guns, spreading them across the game, enabling them online, as opose to a few dozen.

The BR was according to cannon better than the DMR so it replaced it in every branch but the Army.

EXACTLY!
A halo game with EVERY game in the halo universe would be like a cod with every weapon in the world, ABSURD!

i personally wouldn't mind having them in forge, not all guns on every map. just be able to use any weapon you wanted if your gametype needed it. also it would make fiesta crazy

maybe they had to terminate the data so the covenant won't get their hands on it.

actually i think this is it, they were deleting all the coordinates of earth, the weapons prototypes were just collateral damage
