Bungie.net is the place to be!
Amidst the snowfall, the cold does little to diminish his wishes to be free. The eagle is chained and has no way of breaking free. No matter how much he flies, he still is chained. The blizzards do nothing to break his determination and in his eyes, he will be freed, someday...
Bad habits are like chains that are too light to feel until they are too heavy to carry
All was clear. For a medium-sized prison, it was strange how there were no Guardians about guarding the halls from any prisoners crazy enough to contemplate escape. Lee looked out into the darkness outside his room, wondering if perhaps tonight would be his last time. The doors in the Ayazuki Cell A block were left unlocked in order for the Guardian Sentients to have combat experience, or in other words, the chance to kill prisoners. His room-mate was still sleeping, and he hoped that if he did escape, his existence would continue, despite the fact that he might report Lee if he were to awaken. Prisoners who report other escapees get extra food for a day.
Lee tip-toed slowly to the old rusted metal door. It was old because this prison was used for keeping regular criminals back in the time before the Sentient. He opened the door as slowly as possible. He looked around in the darkness. He gently closed the door behind him. He would have preferred to escape like the gentleman in that American prison who dug a hole in his prison cell wall and emerged from the sewers a free man. His chances of surviving were nearly zero.
The lights suddenly turned on. A small Sentient droid approached from down the hall. It was speaking Human Language #1. Lee spoke only Human Language #2 and #4. He knew only a few words in Human Language #1. The Sentient pointed with one of its fingers at his room. It was telling him to go back, or face annihilation, he guessed. Lee shook his head. The Sentient's large eyes changed to the colour red instead of its prior blue, and the alarm began to go off. All the other doors were instantly locked to prevent other prisoners from helping the escapee. He began to run.
Lee ran down two hallways, then made a left. He sprinted now, with a stairway in sight. A Guardian emerged from around the corner with its heavy metal boots clanking along the white floor. It began to charge its Hyoto beams in either arm. Lee noticed a red square on the wall. 'Of course! The fire alarm!' thought Lee, who jumped for it. The Guardian moved closer and closer. It was ready to fire. A gentle shower of water fell onto the hulking Sentient Guardian, who now fell onto its feet with sparks emerging from its neck. He scratched the back of the fallen Guardian with the bobbypin he had in his jumpsuit pocket. He sprinted down the hall and crashed through the stairway door.
What do you think so far, Flood?
