Recently (five minutes ago) I say a photo in a group which both shocked and sickened me. It was of a male genitalia with a "smiley face" on it. Now, the creator of this thread and pciture is also the Admin. of the group, thus being unbannable. This, as far as I have seen is a clean site. So, does Bungie.net have any control over the groups? If not, should they? Finally, what should I do?

News? Podcasts? Machinima? Active forums? Competitions? Jaffa Cakes!? OMG!
Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

Yes, but groups are private so they tend not to. The public forums however, everbody is likely to see, so they are more important to moderate. What should you do? Contact a mod and hope for the best. They are however very busy.

I believe that statement goes that Bungie do not interfere with groups, unless they become a public problem and it becomes necessary for Achronos to step in and clean up the mess.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

The mods can join groups without being accepted i think.

And Achronos can join and mess with groups

Anyone can post pictures, Acrhonos can find who did it and delete it and or the group.

Does this case seem severe enough to contact him?

From the Terms of Use:
By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using a Communication Service, you will not:

* Publish, post, upload, distribute or disseminate any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful topic, name, material or information.

Truthfully, I have no idea whether that applies to only the public forums or if it includes private groups also. Though, the somewhat general words "Communication Service" suggests the latter in my mind.

If I were you, I'd simply leave the group. I'd also send a PM to Achronos. He'll look at the situation and handle it however he likes.

Achronos can go into any group and do whatever he likes to it, being a superuser and all.

Groups are still covered by the Code of Conduct and Terms of Use (as these apply to all of Bungie's services).

I don't know whether Achronos will take action or not, but if it offended you that much then leave the group.

It was gross, but seeing as it was the first gross thing of the group, i'd say no. Just ask the Adim. to delete the thread or take the picture down, I'm sure he would.

Im too lazy to ask, or I would have already.
