"You know what happens when you leave someone hanging for too long? They fall."

Who actually thought of the idea first? Just something I'm wondering. Any particular reason why you chose what you did? Aliens...weapons...anything?

For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

I heard it came from a book.

This thread is a perfect example of how every question in history has been asked in this forum.

Why the hell did some one come up with "The Sims"? Yeah it's that weird.

You've obviously been misinformed if you think the game came from the the Halo Book series, if thats what you mean.

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

If it is from a book, I think I know which one and why. I have not completely read this book called "Consider Philebas" it is a sci-fi about this person who is a "Changer" who is one of an extint race and fights on the side of the Idirans who are in a religous war. And they fight the Smug: or sterile machines race who worships the "Culture." And the front cover of the book has a ring on it, and I would bet ten dollars it inspired the Halo ring, that resembles the Halo rings. And if you look at the cover, it seems that there are inscriptions that look like Forerunner text! Coincidence? You take a LOOK!

Actually, it was going to be Monkey Nuts, But Jason Jones just couldn't tell his mother that he was working on a project call Monkey nuts. Thus it became blam!, and now we call it Halo.

I remember that Jason said somewhere that Halo got it's inspiration from multiple sources. But I'm not sure who originally thought of the story, i guess either Jones or Seropian.

I don't know if this is true, but I heard that Sgt. Johnson's character was inspired by Sgt. Apone in the movie Aliens

There are quite a few similarities....
