Many will enter, only one will rise to the top and he might not even win....

You will be deeply disappointed then. Bungie's publisher is Activision I believe. You know, the people that won't let COD die when it desperately needs some changes.
I think I just read a thread where this guy said he was knew. He already knows more than half the people on this site.
Not so fast!
Quit giving into media hysteria. If anyone was paying attention, they'd know that the terms of the 10 year contract practically assured Bungie that their IP wouldn't follow CoD's fate. That's right kids. Bungie keeps the IP and holds all creative rights to it. Activision is just the ATM that's also bound by contract.

Hello? Community? Anyone in there?
I'm here, I hate it when people don't understand anything about the company they talk about.

But still, no one knows if they're coming, as their name isn't on the list of companies going (they could be marked under Activision however.)

I'm just hoping that Microsoft will announce more hardcore games on Kinect.

As others pointed out, Bungie made it clear that Activision funds and publishes. They have NO say in the games development or content.
What if activision might claim the rights of the new IP?
Can you read? They can't!

Well, firstly I'm looking forward to 343i's announcement that is very likely to be Halo 4 (who am I kidding, it will be Halo 4). Also, I'm sure a new CoD will be talked about and the new Assassins Creed game as well. Bungie's new game may be there and I'm sure Bioware will announce a new project alongside Mass Effect 3 news. And, well the list goes on...

I don't know if they can't but i know they're a publisher, it's sure they don't own the i.p but they have some responsibilities and obligations as a producer of the game (and if they want the game to have a release at a certain date i'm sure Bungie will follow the deadline)

I say this, but i say nothing i wasn't in the room with Harold Ryan and Thomas Tippl when they signed the contract...

Back to the thread, i'm hoping a teaser or something similar (short video),with no ingame sequence but something who gave us a brief glimpse of what Aerospace gonna be...

I want to see what bungie can do with total freedom. No big wigs breathing down their necks dictating what they should do with the stories or the characters.

/Activision

Tell yourself what you want, but Activision is successful in treating the gaming industry as a business. In line with that, they will encourage the generation of IPs deemed to be marketable given current gaming trends. Yes, Bungie may have the creative freedom to potentially do whatever they please, but Big Daddy Kotick is only going to foot the bill if Activision gets something they want out of it in return. Don't forget that folks.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I want to see what the hell 343 was been cooking up.

and the new Assassins Creed game as well.

I didn't think they were going to make another Assassin's Creed for a couple of years? I would love to see another, but I didn't think there would be for a while.

OT: I hope they announce Halo 4 and continue Chief's story. I would also like to be able to play as a Forerunner in multiplayer, that'd be cool :)

I'm more intrigued by Pax Prime 2011. I wonder what 343i is going to announce.
