"They let me pick. Did I ever tell you that? Choose whichever Spartan I wanted. You know me. I did my research. Watched as you became the soldier we needed you to be. Like the others, you were strong and swift and brave. A natural leader. But you had something they didn't. Something no one saw, but me. Can you guess...? Luck."
-Cortana

"He is neither the smartest nor the fastest nor the strongest of the Spartans. but he is the bravest - and quite possibly the luckiest. And in my opinion, he is the best."
-Dr. Catherine Halsey

The MC was always about luck even the part of Halo TFoR he flipped that coin and had the luck

"Time was your ally human. But now it has abandoned you. The Forerunners....have returned. And this tomb... is now yours". - The Didact

I don't know.He is just lucky

There is no logical explanation for luck, it's just one of those things that just...well...IS. There's no real explaining of it.

He was blessed by a forerunner.

Or...eh who knows.

The forerunner do have the ability to impart memories and stuff onto people of their choosing.

Or perhaps even, medicant bias has been watching john since birth, not simply since he got to the ark.

I am Spartan MG96 .
My favourite member of noble team , Noble 1 (CARTER).
Favourite squad, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST).
Favourite weapon ,Designated Marksmen Rifle (M392 DMR)
The Banshee is the best vehicle.
IM LONE WOLF.

I know this is wrong but noble 6 is all those things e.g cortana picks him out of all the rest.

But the start of halo ce Master chief is in the pillar of autum

I don't see why that was a big deal. It was a 50/50 chance.

Soon to be breaking news:

US Coast Guard prepares for massive rescue mission after Iranian fleet sinks off shore. Reports say a small thunderstorm caused most of the ships to simply...fall apart.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

He was Microsoft's bread and butter, Bungie and various authors better keep him alive.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

I think it was hinted at a few times that Halsey used John's luck and her experiments to actually test if God existed, implying it was God making him lucky. As a profound atheist Halsey was obviously skeptical, but John made her have doubts.

Again, I completely forget where this is coming from, so if it's not true to Halo canon, please don't ban me mods :(
