Subject: What would you be?

Imagine you live in the Halo Universe and you are a UNSC soldier, what would your rank, specialty and branch be?

I'd be an ODST Lieutenant Colonel, battalion leader, first one on the ground.

Even the greatest were once at the bottom.

>Wouldn't be in the UNSC until after the Human-Covenant war.

ODST, sniper, nuff said.

I'd be happy with being a simple ODST with the rank of sergeant

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I would be an ODST, like Mickey, who handles explosives and such.

ODST or Spartan II would be my choice, though a Spartan I would also be equally fine, even though their augmentation tended to play -blam!- on them later in their lives.

Head Hunting sounds nice.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Spartan III, nuff said. I don't care if I die in Prometheus or Torpedo (although I could pull off a Tom/Lucy)

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

Ship master of a covenant supercarrier after the great schism.

All mankind... being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty or possessions.

Join my group!

I would be an ODST. Explosives specialist. Like Mickey.

This.
And I want Buck's BDU.

The road to success is always under construction.

Probably a ODST, rank unknown

I hate how some people automatically go for Spartans. You do know most of them are dead right? Add to the fact that you must endure augmentations that are incredibly painful along with impossible training, I wouldn't want to go through that.

I would want to be a UNSC Marine stationed on one of the 300 Super MAC stations on Earth. Only 2 were destroyed while the others survived, I would make it through the whole war.

Each his own I guess, most people picked them (myself included) because of their heroic acts and their endless determination to succeed and give the UNSC the time and edge they needed to even up the odds most probably.

Indeed, I think every Halo fan has probably at some point wanted to be a Spartan, or at least be like one. To quote everybody's favorite Black Sergeant Major "People need heroes, Chief!" And that is most certainly what they are, that's why I'd want to be one, because of their heroism, and deep down, everybody wants to be a hero in some way. At least that's the case with me.
